By simply logging in for 2 weeks your guaranteed a free S rank hero. The game gives u a free10-pull and after using your free pull you'll have an S-rank card that can be utilized. That's 3 possible S-ranks for free and your 3 starters can be A-ranked kind of easily by just playing. So it's not like new players aren't being given a fair start up. Frankly each hero is built to be FUN and that is something every game should be aiming for, screw "Meta" play your OWN damn way and have fun doing it end of story.

I did get A Karen, which I'm loving at the moment, but If I could go back I would have gone for a budget team while saving every black card I got. It's OK though, as I feel like my account is in a good spot right now and I don't even feel like using my base banner tickets.

There is something I don't understand with gatcha games, do you get infinite resources (even if slow) to unlock everything to the highest rank? (no cosmetics included) I recently played Genshin Impact and everyone is Rerolling like they will get an S character once per account.... Rerolling obviously gets you what you want faster but is it 100% necessary? (F2P btw).

Technically you can, but it's usually absurd. For example, you can theoretically get an SSS+ character in PGR as an F2P, but it'd take a ridiculous amount of rolls that wouldn't even make it worth it. Same for Genshin, you can theoretically get a C6 character as an F2P, but it'd take an absurd amount of time and rolls to achieve. No, rerolling isn't necessary. However, when it's fairly easy to get a first character quick in a game and a player really wants a specific character, they can choose to reroll.
