Do I need a condensate pump if there’s a floor drain in the middle of the furnace room? I have a new furnace, no air conditioner. I told the plumber to do gravity drain with a pipe to the floor drain but he insisted to install a condensate pump anyway. What’s your opinion on this?

Those are limestones or lime chips pretty much?

What do you use to refill the neutralizers?

You can do so by adding in calcite media through the funnel filling the neutralizer within 10 inches of the fill port

I have a high efficiency furnace and tankless water heater that both discharge through a condensate filter. It looks like I have exactly the neutraPal filter shown in the video. Having both going through the same condensate filter, how often should I replace the medium (more frequent than yearly?).

Hey Robert, if it is sized and manufactured properly, annually should be fine. To know for sure, simply check the discharge pH. I recommend staying away from the "white ball" type media and stick with natural media. The FCN-30, or Fireside Universal Condensate neutralizer is our company's "Go To" model. You can even use the simple paper strip ph testers.

I installed twin external Rinnai tankless heaters on the outside of my house. Do I need to use a condensate neutralizer?
