I don't think that foreign students can be blamed by Australia for her own travel ban policy and lockdown restrictions or covid pandemic which led to a fundamental loss of an entire year academically. They ought to be considerate. But if you have the financial resources to re-write ielts by early January, then you can take the ielts test again before traveling (to be on a safer side).

Good question. Kind of not needed at lots of places. Mostly Passport will be the one you need for things. Although on personal level, i brought most of my original documents. Just need to make sure that they are safe at all times.

We suggest you to carry original or if you can't then print out a copy of each. Still prefer to have original documents.

Are the documents like education certificates, transcripts, fee receipts etc. which are not specific to travel required in hand while travelling? Or could they be just a soft copy or in check in luggage, since airport authorities aren't likely to ask for documents which are not travel related?

I will never keep them in check-in luggage. It is better to keep them in hand luggage or even laptop bag as they will always be with you.

I cannot express more; print off all your documents. Even though it may have been uploaded to Airline, your flight could be canceled and therefore all that clearance was for THAT flight not your new flight. I mean EVERYTHING. Also down airlines app...good luck and remember Australia has crazy penalties for not compliance with Isolation

Do not say you're going to covid testing clinic, give address to driver and say nothing. Our driver was extremely rude to me saying I'd exposure him to covid. I didn't have it!

Hi Vaibhav, sorry to hear it feel slike that. I have been living in Australia for more than 15 years and over time if you live that long overseas and mostly speak English you will start speaking it differently. If you meet me in person, i ll speak the same way, no difference.
