🐾Important Tip regarding Physiotherapy at home for your special needs animal🐾
TIP: Invoke or generate some involuntary movements in the part of the body that is paralyzed / immobile
HOW: You can do this by
1. Tickling the paws / nerve points
2. Pressing your finger tips at the back of the paws
3. Massaging the paw
4. By using a acupressure roller over the nerve point like the back of the limb / paw
5. For Dobby, if we massage or scratch the end of the spine it generates some muscle movements / spams. It may be different for different animals, trail and error is the best way to find out.
6. When you hold the limb in a position (like folded hind leg in the position of a run) and you feel some opposition by your furry friend, this is also a very good sign
WHY SHOULD YOU TO THIS : These self generated muscle movements are a more natural way of healing compared to forced movement. This is also is helpful in reconnecting nerves and halting muscle atrophy .
