Right on the money. The motor pitch sound at landing is vital make sure they're idling before you let go of that stick. I'm into over 25 hours of flight time with no that's zero failures or accidents. I come from RC Heli background and this machine can be flown by anyone with very little instruction. The video is Rock Solid remember to view the video on the card in the cam not the ST 16 for final. Absolutely the best money on anything RC or Photography I have ever spent. Can't wait to see where Yuneec will go from here.

very clear video but one question , do i have to recalibrate the compass everytime i fly
@YuneecUK8 жыл бұрын
Hi Kenneth, thanks for your question. We absolutely recommend that you re-calibrate the compass whenever you are a flying in a new location where the compass has not yet been calibrated. Thank you

Great video. I've owned the DJI Phantom 2,3, and 4, the 3DR Solo, and the Chrona, and this Typhoon 4 is so far superior! I just got it, can't wait to fly it, but I'm still in the learning mode. The question I have is... does and if so when does this need to be calibrated? I didn't notice you mentioning calibration. Thank you!!
@YuneecUK7 жыл бұрын
Hi Peter - thanks for your message! We recommend performing a compass calibration when flying in a new location, as this will ensure optimum compass accuracy! Thank you :)

Thanks for the great video, I was between the phantom series and this but I will be getting a typhoon H when I get back to the USA, currently out of the country. I would like to know which model I need for the 3 antenna st 16. I am a little confused on it. I love the video and cant wait to get back to get one. Thanks again and great demo of wind gps holding ect.

On the ST-16 controller, I noticed Bluetooth but it always shows that "unfortunately Bluetooth has stopped" whenever I try to share a video or photo stored on the console. Is there a way to save those files to the micro SD card in the ST-16 or share them across Bluetooth or WiFi? I also don't see an icon for Bluetooth as is seen with WiFi.
@YuneecUK7 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim, thanks for your message. Via the ST16, you are able to use File Manager and the Copy & Paste function to copy files from the on-board memory of the ST16 to an SD-Card for external usage. If you require further assistance, please don't hesitate to get in touch with our Yuneec UK Tech Centre on (+44) 0208 449 4321 (Mon Fri 9-5) (International call charges may apply). Thanks :)

What I want to know is I bought the model just below this one...the Q500 4K... I notice the round camera has USB ports in it, and wanting to know does the camera have to be charged as well?
@YuneecUK7 жыл бұрын
Hi Vance, thanks for your question. The CGO3 camera does not have to be charged, as its powered by the Q500+. Thank you :)
@vancelee10267 жыл бұрын
Yes, I realize now that USB port is for downloading pictures to computer. I test flew this thing on Sunday, most amazing craft I've ever flown, been privileged to fly or operate, actually, craft practically flew itself, even in 'angle' mode. If anything it's like the drone 'babysits' you, the operator...LOL Great craft, and it's so so very forgiving... I recorded first flight if want to go see it on my videos...

will it return home when the battery is low or when it get out of range? Does it have an auto landing mode if a person wants to use it in the beginning
@YuneecUK8 жыл бұрын
Hi Den, thanks for your message. If the battery gets critically low on the Typhoon H, it will automatically initiate Return to Home. The Typhoon H will fly home at the user-defined height, descend, retract its landing gear and land. If the Typhoon H goes out of range of the controller, it will hold a stable position and hover until connection is re-established. If connection is not re-established and the battery gets critically low, the Typhoon H will automatically descend, retract its landing gear and and land. For automatic landing, the operator is able to initiate Return to Home at the flick of the switch and sit back and relax as the Typhoon H flies back and lands automatically. Thank you :) Show less

my controller came with a round antenna on it. The box also contained a square antenna. what are the difference and do I need to change them? Thank you in advance looking forward to my first flight today
@YuneecUK7 жыл бұрын
Hi Homeworks, thanks for your message. You now have the option of using either the mushroom antenna which is more suitable for regular flying, or the square antenna which, when pointed towards the Typhoon H during flight, provides increased stability for long distance flying. Thanks

I bought my Typhoon H on Dec28 2016 and have never flown it yet. Its now May 21st 2017. Should I download the new Firmware for the ST16 before firing this unit up? Is it easier to start with the Wizard wand as a newbe with this unit? Great videos and very informative. I am a new Yuneec Typhoon owner and very nervous to even fly it in case of crashing. At least with your video I have learned how to turn it on comfortable doing so. Thanks for your answers in advance
@YuneecUK7 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for your message. We recommend updating your Typhoon H and ST16 to the latest firmware before flying. Please check www.yuneec.com for more information regarding updating your firmware. After you have updated, please make sure you perform Compass and Accelerometer calibrations before you fly. For newcomers, we recommend using the ST16 to control the Typhoon H. The Typhoon H is extremely intuitive and easy to fly - don't be nervous! Just make sure you follow instructions and abide by your local laws. Happy flying :)

Thank you for this video it really provides good tips for the newcomers. Would like to see a more video 's. Would be very interested in how to calibrate a ST16. Have seen some on youtube using a hiding access menu on the ST16 from which you could calibrate the ST16. Some say do not use it, its falls which others simply say no problem to calibrate the ST16 with that hidden menu.

Hi Phillip, thanks for your question. The Typhoon H is equipped with several intelligent flight modes and GPS stabilisation, meaning that even a complete beginner can fly it straight out of the box with no need for any training or additional purchases! Learn more at www.yuneec.com - Thank you :)

Great video. I have lots of kids around me always touching stuff. My question is, what happens if the ST16 red on button is accidently pressed while flying. Will the Typhoon H fall from the sky?
@YuneecUK7 жыл бұрын
Hi Carlo, thanks for your question. If you were to accidentally quick-press the red start/stop button mid-flight, nothing will happen. If you were to long-press and hold the red start/stop button mid-flight, the motors would stop - this acts as a kill-switch in emergency situations. As a safety feature, the red start/stop button has to be pressed and held down for over 2 seconds for any action to occur. This is to inhibit accidental motor initiation, or accidental stopping of the motors. Thank you :)

Why? Does it do something to the drone or the controller? I mean, if you do accidentally, you can shut them down and restart by starting ST16 1st and drone 2nd and that will be fine, with no damage done? Or will it cause some sort of permanent damage?
