It may not be as spectacular as the Apollo landings but the robotic exploration of the moon has surged in recent years. The achievements of these unmanned probes are recounted. And permanent manned moon bases are back in future plans of several national and private space programs.

I am afraid that anyone who spends too much time on the Moon, will turn into lunatics.

How will the big states on Earth decide to share the resources from other planets or moons? Will we have wars on Earth over those resources like we already do and destroy our planet before getting to use them?

European Space Agency: ESA (isa) not E.S.A. - like NASA not N.A.S.A😉 - it’s like mispronouncing a name of a guest in an interview. For a programme about space exploration…. quite a letdown! 😬

I am curious what would happen if anything "safe guards possibly in place" if it was asked to list every prime number all the way to infinity.

Why not have robots controlled from Earth instead of live astronauts? No need for food and oxygen and operators on Earth could run the robots 24/7 instead of cosmonauts needing to sleep.

To a certain extent, robots would consume less materials than astronauts and cost less, but more science can be done with live humans on the moon running experiments and collecting data. In addition, if hardware were to break, it could be fixed with human ingenuity on the ground and moon much easier

@@jeff_nuggs4566 So, 4 robots per human. Start off with just robots to build a habitat.

The most appropriate word to describe the Moon is death.

SO WERE GONNA EXPORT OUR HOMELESS TOO THE MOON?????
@joshuaharrison8113
@joshuaharrison8113 Жыл бұрын
Homlessnauts would be more honorable than the average human, so if that was an option they may rather enjoy not being looked down on for once in their current existence… “exporting” humans is not a concept that I’m comfortable laughing and joking about and it feels dirty to even reply to your joke…

The one good thing about the Moon is that everyone who goes there, will need to have a spiritual orgy with all other visitors. It is so depressing on the lunar surface, that Earthbound politics will become absolutely non existent, up there. All astronauts will open up to each other by sheer emotional need.

Oh boy …. Yes… but did humans go the way they advertised? Probably not. That’s where I stand… so it’s a mix of yes and no. I still get stuck on how we navigated to the surface of the moon with less computing power than a first generation iPhone / iPod
@ArKritz84

@@-KingOfKhaos it's either yes or no, and your lack of knowledge is not actually an argument against the proposition. That's just ignorance.
