Fahad Al-Hazmi happens very often. I've seen several people who spent tons for majors and minors and ended up in a complete different field. Business, psychology, English literature, etc. New a programmer whom turned down a good position with a software company because he prefered doing something else though. He was apparently really good. But sometimes we're good at things we don't enjoy. He prefered working with cars.
