I have a patent and it took the chinesium jerks a month to replicate it. Thank you. God bless, stay safe and warm.

I feel your pain, Joey. Appreciate you, brother. God bless. (It is chilly here today)

He was so nice to the competitor who stole his stove. I have a feeling they won’t fix the flaws, but it’s cool to see him point out how much thought went into his original designs.

I don't care for the thin standoffs at the top. I suspect those will warp and be unusable after a few rounds. I like the simplicity of your design. Especially if you are hiking/camping. You want to have as few points of failure in your rig as possible.

You are a good man Tom. Terrific review of your competition. Wishing you a safe journey on your assignment. Stay safe out there. Peace brother

it seems like you should be able to make a rocket stove without the barrel by using the bucket method

I'll definitely be buying your plans! I find great satisfaction in building things to use.

Very gracious of you to consider endorsing the competitor 😮

It is sad someone stole your idea but that means you had very good idea! I am looking forward to see better ideas.

The famous quote from Oscar Wilde, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery” has long been bandied about, mainly as an excuse for blatant copying. However, in the world of commerce and intellectual property, such 'flattery' can get you in serious trouble. Wishing you and your family a blessed week. Safe travels. Peace brother

It is probably different enough that patent will not have protected it.
@GreenShortzDIY11 ай бұрын
True. That’s the other challenge with patents, is shifting the design enough to say it’s not the same. The other reality of choosing not to patent was I likely wasn’t the first to use these simple methods. They may not have been patentable to begin with. Thanks for the feedback.

how much wood is the equivalent of 1 second of that butane torch you used to light the stove? hahaha

I don't have a rocket stove, but I do use flint's from spent bic lighters that I find on the side of roads in my rope lighter (usually without using the rope itself), and dryer lint, with a few leaves to start my folding stove.

@@jmoneyjoshkinion4576 awesome idea. I had not heard of a rope lighter. I keep a Swedish "Light my Fire" - I think that's the brand - on my key chain.
@jmoneyjoshkinion45763 ай бұрын
@@voidisyinyangvoidisyinyang885 the reason I got the rope lighter was I was looking for a thumb sparker that used zippo or bic sized flints, that I could replace easily with those that I found on the ground in old bics, because I wanted to be able to use it one handed if I had to. The rope lighter is the closest thing I've ever found without using a zippo (that requires lighter fluid).

where can I see your patent?

I did not patent. :-)

Yo, in this economy everyone is trying to make a quick buck without having to do the initial input of an idea. It's easier to steal some designs, even if flawed, and build a product with false advertising. Keep up your good work. I will copy your final design in 2040 ;)

A sprained thumb from a soccer game can be very painful. Are you a field player or a keeper?! I wish you a quick, full recovery 🫡👍
@GreenShortzDIY11 ай бұрын
I’m a field player. Got tangled up with a defender. Thought I broke it. My teammate is a doc and he took a look and said it was just a sprain. I’ve had it wrapped up for a couple days. Feeling better. Thank you for your concern.
