question of the day - do you get nervous when receiving feedback? presenting in front of others?

I absolutely love presenting in front of others and don't get "nervous". I'm probably over confident 🥴. Now admittedly, I do have a few jitters before hand but it feels normal. Noooow when it comes to feedback, I could do better.

I’m now at the end of my 3rd year on my last rotation and I remember my first day of IM your girl was STRESSED and I had anxiety everytime I presented. But I must say now at the end I’m really not nervous. Like once you know the flow it’s engrained in you and you just say everything the same way everytime. And after awhile even when it’s a new specialty you are quicker to pick up what’s important to say and what’s not, labs that are trending, and all of that. It just comes with practice and time. But honestly no presentation compares to the IM one everything after that just feels like cake 😭

I enjoy feedback…. If it’s given properly. Don’t try to tear me down bc then you gon get snapped on (the Lord is working on me 🙃). But I believe it’s important to receive feedback to better yourself. There’s always room for improvement. Now, presenting…. Get somebody else to do it. I know I’ll force myself to do those to be more comfortable and for practice.

That was a powerful 'mindset bell' about this being people and their lives, your not thinking about trying to pass a test. I love that you're aware of your hesitancy and being intentional about naming what you think the diagnosis is. Okay okay feedback! I love it. Way to go, sis!

You are so kind for these words! I’m already knowing the ancestors and God have carried me during some of my most difficult times. And I’m grateful 🙏🏾
