God, Inpostor Factory somehow hit the hardest for me. Neil is probably my favorite character in the entire series. Ever since To the Moon, I always knew Neil was hiding something. After all, he seemed kinda douchey, ignorant and was mostly there for comedic effect alongside Eva. "You sure do talk about your grandfather alot." - Eva Rosalene That line made me question what and why Neil had Sigmund Corp as a job. Before Impostor Factory, I assumed Neil got into Sigmund because of his grandfather. I thought that, maybe, his grandfather had a dying wish that couldnt be granted; so Neil wanted to fulfill the wishes of other people, because he couldnt fulfill he grandfather's. And then there was the whole Neil needing painkillers. I knew he had some sort of illness, but I regrettably overlooked that and pushed it aside. And then Impostor Factory practically slapped me in the face. It broke me in a way that Finding Paradise and To the Moon didn't. Alot of things that Neil said, did or thought just suddenly clicked for me. And he became such an amazing character. He may be harsh and ignorant at times, but he cares. Neil really, really, REALLY cares. He's aware that he has significantly less time than everyone else around him, but he's trying his best to make the most out of it. Just.. Goddamn this fucking series never fails to make me sob. Fantastic work, Kan Gao. Your games, stories and music are really something else. Something that can't be found anywhere else.

@@catnip7755same dude. I was never much of a crybaby. but to the Moon touched me deeply inside. I've grown up with a severe ADHD i could totally understand river's feelings, that made me burst in crying out of nothing. It was like letting flow all the emotions out of my tear ducts, all the strugglins because of my condition through the years...

Earth or Sky? Lavender or Star? For myself or others? Does it really matter? If in the end we're all impostors. A possibility build upon one another.
@champ1479632 жыл бұрын
wrote this while listening to Earth or Sky. What I learn from Impostor Factory is it doesn't really matter which way you choose. The important part is how you face and deal with challenges / problems in whichever path you chose. as Neil said "It's only seems perfect because the adversity presented in the context" (or something along that line) hope it's a wonderful day for everyone who read this no matter what you chose to do today!

This whole series is great and makes me cry but this one in particular kinda hit different, especially the college parts. Examining the "world that could have been" really turns the original concept from the first game on it's head and is just so... I don't even know how to describe it. It makes my heart hurt. I want to replay Impostor Factory

I love that the scene chosen for this video is Quincy and Lyn at the university's window. Their conversation about lavenders and stars is just... incredibly powerful. This game was one of the reasons I eventually ended up coming out to my mother, weird as it may sound. I'm being 100% honest when I say that this game changed my life, and out of all three games from the Sigcorp franchise, this one was the one which impacted me the hardest. Thank you, Freebird Games.

This Lofi legit makes me tear up, I loved the To The Moon series and all of them made me cry, no other game has ever done that to me but this game just hit so much different. I love the creators and even did some of my graphic design work based off of the games. Freebird Games will forever hold a special place in my heart and I will never forget them. Ok, I’ve literally just finished Impostor Factory and this episode was probably the most impactful for me, which honestly is a surprise, I didn’t expect it to be that… close. I suppose it rang true for me more than other episodes, specifically due to dealing with such themes as the consequences of your choices and actions, and the anguish that follows it. The question of whether you should just live your life or try and make an impact on the world. The exploration of selfishness, what constitutes it and how far you can go in your selfishness. And of course, the fragility and transcience of life. The game legit made me want to go and tell or show my mom and my boyfriend that I love them. It reminded me that I should not be so self-absorbed and should appreciate every moment I’ve got with those I love. I know that sounds cheesy AF but it’s a simple truth that I tend to forget way too often. I genuinely can’t wait for the new episode.

I love this game, and all the others of course, never fail to tear my heart into pieces. Spoilers ahead, but what hit me the most in this one is when Lynri wanted to take Tobi for stargazing and Bill just said to Lynri that even though she might not have left a mark on the world, she sure left a mark on him. The one who chose to give her dream in believe in future. Believe in those who will be here after her. The one who wasnt the best in anything but was much needed support. I aint sure if Kan will answer that. Is it true that all three games in a sense target particular kinda people? To the moon made me sad Finding paradise made me think And IF and Bird story destroyed me. But that is only case with me. My friend was destroyed on FP.. So I am curious if this writing does aim some kind of person.
