I listened to the whole 1 hour, i wrote a message in a book, drew, and honestly felt better about my night, currently 2 am and I feel nostalgic and calm, don't know what this music did to me, but I feel liberated. I hope you do too. Update: The fact that this was only over one whole year ago is crazy. So much shit has happened, I'm basically a completely different person living a somewhat different life. I've changed so much, and accomplished a few things that i will hopefully remember in the future. It's 2am once again and it's been a wild ride. I've seen and heard so many different things, people, places, emotions, songs, media, games, things that are gonna live rent free in my mind forever. I wish things were different, wish i could just skip the next 4 years and just be done, but wishes are just broken dreams that eventually fade away. Whether it's 10 minutes or 10 years. But there's nothing i can do about that. Nothing I can do about the people who have left me, hurt me, loved me, befriended me, hated me. I can only live with it. Live with the fact that I am human, and that I can do absolutely nothing about it. Please, if you see this, don't give up hope. I've felt helpless too, everyone does, the problem is that you center all of that pressure on yourself. Wake up, go drink a glass of water, coffee, tea, eat a healthy snack, a quick workout session, do something that makes you feel rejuvenated. But most importantly, never forget who you are and where you came from, the people that love you and who came before you. Just know that you are never alone. Never.

I remember my Mom with this song too. It's been 5 months since she left this life, her birthday was 2 days ago. While listening to this song, I imagine a continuous and rapid spill of flashbacks to moments in the past with her, like an unstoppable movie full of short clips. But I also get glimpses of the many milestones I'm going to have without her. In each of those future glimpses, there is joy in my surroundings but my heart stilled ached and felt partially empty. But I'm trusting that she did her job raising me the best that she could within the short 22 years of my life that I was blessed to know her. I can only hope to bless others with the love and light that my Ma embodied in her lifetime. Even though her hands were small, they were filled with an indescribable strength for so long. Whenever I listen to these type of songs I always get sad. I don’t know why. I have great parents and friends and generally just great company. I have never experienced heartbreak. This reminds me of when you lose someone or something, a part of yourself. When you're struggling so hard but still trying so hard to push through. It just gets more and more difficult. It's so hard to make it through the day without feeling the sadness and the sense of loss. You don't want the loss to stop your life, you want to keep pushing because you don't want to accept it, but deep down inside you know that you need to stop pushing and just slow down, but that would leave you alone with your thoughts and feelings, without the distraction of life, and you wouldn't want that. This song is like those moments when you just try to hard tp push everything down, to distract yourself. It hurts so bad to just push everything down and hold everything in when you know you're hurting and you just want to scream. This song is like those moments when you just cant push anymore, its as if you just drop to the ground and everything around you becomes distant. You can't push everything away forever, no matter how hard you deny, no matter how hard you push yourself, no matter how hard you try to distract yourself. One day you will fall to the ground, tired of trying. Everything else that you used to distract yourself, everything that you held so close and tried valuing so much just to put your attention on something else, becomes the thing that is now so far away. The normality of life you try so hard to achieve every day will slip from your hands, just out of reach. You can't feel normal if you push it all down. Once you let go for one second, stop trying, stop pushing yourself to your vary limits for just one second, everything comes flooding back, and this is what that song is. Those moments where you just can't hold on, you just cant pretend that your life is normal anymore. You fall to the ground, weak and exhausted, everything rushes back and that normality you tried so hard to salvage is now so incredibly distant. You can't help but cry, you can't help that feeling to just scream, to just scream for help, everybody else continues around you while it feels like you're just stuck, struggling to make progress. The world just feels so distant, as if you must scream, in hope that it will just stop it all, that that scream will catch the attention of the normality you crave so much, as if it will run back to you to offer you another chance, but it doesn't. It's as if you're treading through the ocean, the rasping waves pushing against you, going in an opposite direction, you try to run but you are just barely walking, while the water of life around you is flawlessly and easily flowing by, you are trying to push against it, to go at the same speed and fluency as it, using so much energy to go so little way, but you know that if you stop for one second, life's ocean will carry you away, farther back into the depths of what you tried so hard to forget. I just want to say to anybody who deals with this, that I'm VERY proud of you for pushing. I hear you and I understand that things are difficult. You won't always be alone feeling this way, the world isn't stopped, your life isn't paused. You can keep going, you can do it. I believe in you, I know that you can make it far, I know that you can make it to where you want to be. You won't feel this way forever. I know it hurts I know that its hard to keep pushing, and you WILL have those moments where you just have to let go, embrace them because that's part of making progress. You need to accept and validate your emotions, understand that you're hurting while also understanding that there will always be hope. I'm very proud of you for how far you've come, don't ever feel unseen or invalidate your progress and your feelings. You are valid, your feelings are valid, and you are BEYOND strong for pushing every day, even if you feel like giving up, you are still VERY strong for getting up every single morning and continuing. This song means so much to me. Allows me to accept how lonely I really am, remembering all my failures, all the ones that I have lost, how I am simply a side character in everyone's life knowing I will never fit in with the world. The song opened my eyes to realize I am nothing and no one. Late at night contemplating your life wondering when life will give you a chance after all your hard work and struggle, the restlessness of not stopping and pushing forward no matter what. Just waiting for that moment when you can actually mean something.

@@heartes4387 Isn't it funny how everyone is impacted by different things? I love how unique people are and the way each person takes meaning in things. For me a song, and for you words. But in the end, no matter what wakes us up to realize that we need to acknowledge our loneliness we all long for the same thing. A chance, and change. The thing is I am terrified of change, but that's the moment to jump you just don't know when you'll catch yourself or fly. As you pass everyone and fall you feel left behind alone and separated by everyone distancing yourself from fitting in. Truth is we are all simply flowers in a garden waiting to be picked, we just don't know when or even if someone or something will choose us. But while we sit alone, we grow, and we may never realize it we will continue to grow in our surroundings. But one day, one day something may change but we will never know ;)

I miss middle school. I miss the days when I would not care so much about how people percieved me or how i would care so much over the smallest things, how I enjoyed going to school to see my friends, now im a senior and wow, has the time flew by. Listening to videos like this really just...make me nostaligic. Sad. reading these comments realise how much good there still is left in the world. Ive been struggling a lot with my mental health these past few years and its been a difficult battle for me. I feel all alone in this world, i dont have any friends anymore, people left me like I was nothing. Im stuck and i dont know what to do. Im trying to push through, i mad honor roll last year in school! that was a big acheivement for me..anyways i should stop rambling on...whoever is even reading this...things will get better..in time. IF you wake up everyday and all you say to yourself, "Ugh, oh well another sh!tty day here we go again" thats all your gonna think. I know its hard, I know. I used to play this song late night when Im studying. It was during highschool. I do this in front of my father. He always there to accompany me studying during the whole night. Everyday. He wants me to become someone who go to a good school. Now I am in university being a 1st year at one of the best uni ever. But my dad will never see it. This is my secret spot which I come to everyday from 12:00 a.m to 5:00 a.m, really cannot stay longer because I get tired of crying. The reason I cry is because I regret decisions I have made, you see I am 26 years old and have waisted 9 of them, why you may ask? Simple, my parents told me to stay away from the person I love the most. I know those 9 years I shall never recover, but in the past week thanks to God who has listened to my prayers, things have changed. Somehow that person and I have been going out together, keeping each other company, checking in one another, just enjoying the moment and man am I so happy just to listen and see her.
