I can’t remember which season it was so it was either before or obviously after this, but there’s one episode where Q’s fireman buddies come back again. It’s the episode where the jokers try to make each other laugh while one joker is interviewing a stranger and the other jokers are in the background with their mirror that shuts off and turns on behind the stranger so a joker can’t laugh at what the other jokers are doing in the back.

I think it depends on the station, but they need to know they can rely on you. Where I work they did a deal with a fireman. He only worked 3 shifts a week the rest was the fire department. So it would probably just conflict a fulltime show risk/reward type deal. I don't blame him at all.

Q worked the 166 Engine/ 86 Truck on Richmond Ave for 8 years, he loves the guys he worked with & still is in touch with them! Alot of people have prior jobs that they loved before making it big. Steve Buschemi worked in the 55 Engine in Little Italy for 4 years until he got big into acting, he says to this day leaving the job was one of the hardest things he ever did
