When I taught at a nearby international school, I had created a class unit on traditional Thai architecture. After the unit was finished, my students and I would spend two nights at the place ( Ancient Siam has a section with student cabins and a small auditorium on the premises) and my students had the responsibility to take certain photographs of traditional Thai architecture and buildings there then produce a PowerPoint . Since most of the students were “city kids” they loved riding the bikes around. (I’ve been to Ancient Siam over 16 times-555 Great place to take my visiting adult friends when they only have a couple weeks in Thailand and want to see more than a beach.

Samut Prakan Province also has the other side of the Chao Phraya River. There are attractions such as Phra Samut Chedi pagoda, Chulachomklao , Sea Butterfly Fort , Khun Samut Chin Temple , There are many canals , Lad Pho Bang park , Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park , Khung Bang Kachao park , Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market , Krua Poonon Restaurant And many delicious seafood restaurants along the canal. 🤗😊 On the Samut Prakan side where you live, there is also Wat Asokaram and Bang Pu Resort.Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm, the largest crocodile farm in the world

Finally you're visiting my province! Samut Prakan has two sides actually; the side east of the Chao Phraya river is where Suvarnabhumi Airport and the main city center is, but the side west of the river is where I live and has many places to explore as well, like Bang Krachao, Phra Pradaeng, and Phra Samut Chedi!

Muang Boran is fantastic, to do it justice you really need to spend a whole day there. The first time I went to Thailand, I went to the Erawan Museum, and then down to the Royal Thai Naval Academy Museum, and then down to Bang Pu as a one-day jaunt and saved Muang Boran for another trip. I came back the next year when I was there and went to Muang Boran for a whole day. Taking BTS to the end of the line at Keha, and then a quick cab ride from there to the park. Now that the BTS line is extended, it is very easy. But I would recommend renting a bike and enjoying the peace and quiet of cycling through the park, there are plenty of bicycle rentals right inside the entrance. Using a golf cart just seems very farang. I hope you do a video at Bang Pu at sunset, and show all the seagulls.

My Thai wife told me a story about a women who prayed to the 3 headed elephant in Samut Prakan to win the lottery. According to the story she promised to do whatever the elephant wanted if she won. She won the lottery, maybe 6 million baht but never held good on her promise to return to the elephant. Apparently she was later found dead and mangled with elephant footprints around her on the ground. She said it was in the news about 10 years ago. Now I’m not sure, but when she told me she was whispering and had goosebumps on her arms. 555. The Thais love a good ghost story.

Ancient City was one of the first places I visited with my Thai hosts several years back. We went around on bicycles and I dropped my camera when the rickety bike I was on folded on itself. Great place, though, and it looks like there are some new additions since I was last there. Highly recommended and fun; but, yes -- a lot to take in in one day. I think there is a nearby MacDonald's if you miss that kind of thing. dcb

if i remember correctly... in ancient siam, there is an enclosed area where a herd of deer roam free (somewhere northwest part of the park near a mini lake). plus a place where you can eat somewhere in the north center area that looks like a miniature version of the floating market. also, there are only bikes back then 😭😭😭 it took us 4 to 6 hours to finish everything 🤣🤣🤣

Enjoyed this place 2018, if your not as lean and fit as Paddy take a peddle bike round, plenty of watering holes on way round, if its a bright day the reflections from the water and monuments make for great photos. We tried to see every thing it took all day and NIGHT and then we backed up! a whole new experience at night. shame I cant add images; I noticed that the fountains were not on for your tour, the 3 head dragons, jet out water, but in these times, at least it is open. Loved the drone shot of the temple on the hill, we took a short cut and approached from the rear the hill is man made and a cave entrance were you can see scaffolding and re bar supporting concrete slabs like lego 50 metre up....we did not climb the hill.

@@tseringpaljor945 the only good thing about collabs is I know which channels not to watch in the future. Most farangs on KZbin are the types of farangs I avoid like the plague in Bangkok. I’ve enjoyed Paddy’s videos but a golf cart beer drinking video taking the p*ss out of each other and having little respect for the things they did even bother to stop at isn’t why I watch his channel, not his fault though. Just my personal opinion obviously.

The entry price includes a bicycle which is more fun than riding ( and paying for)a golf cart cart. Some buildings are replicas and many of the old teakwood structures ( houses/ temples) were disassembled from different provinces and placed on the premises . The floating market is amazing. The history of the place is interesting btw. Not far from this area, is a mangrove reserve.

Been following your journey since the beginning, and there has not been a blog that we haven't enjoyed until this one. The place looks amazing but really felt that it was done on high speed, and you didn't really show it like you normally would also not sure who this Karl Watson is but honestly could not understand a word he said and we are British, just seemed that he wanted to be the funny guy (didn't work). Great for you to have company but choose wisely who you put in front of the camera with you for content. Your great as you are, and love what you do and how you present yourself and love and always will follow your journey but just this time felt the need to tell you what we thought. Constructive criticism that's all.
