Two handed pike is underrated. It's a shame any spear is just power stanced. Especially the Naginata, has one of the coolest movesets in the game if it isn't powerstanced. Still decently strong, as well. Shame people are slaves to the meta and can't enjoy 90% of the cool stuff the game has to offer.

@@RestlessTheRED I blame the player for being so obsessed with winning in a game where victory serves literally zero purpose, while also blaming the game for not balancing itself properly or giving a single good reason to try that hard to win. This isn't Dark Souls 1 where a player's humanity is on the line, or Dark Souls 3 where covenant items got you substantial rewards. It isn't even like Dark Souls 2 where your extra reward for invading/co-oping could help your future PVP/co-op experience. Rune Arcs aren't rare. They're basically a dime a dozen. In invasions, I can understand the stigma where Hosts have so many advantages (double the heals, Great Runes, blues, resummoning) that invaders do what they gotta do. But in traditional 1v1 duels in the arena or even a fight club, it's all dual SS, dual spears, storm stomp, etc. I just wish I'd see some variety both getting invaded while doing co-op with some buds, or as an invader against the same ol' gonkers, because even the people just doing PvE use all the same meta stuff as dedicated ganks, just not nearly as effectively.

@@AoBaiGaming well but the human psychology is what it is and is never gonna change. Some people are always gonna sweat their balls off to try to win. It is up to the devs to design the game in such a way where certain setups aren’t borderline unbeatable.

The thing I hate most about pvp is if the first strike isn’t a quick lung then most of the time you are at a disadvantage attacking. Jee wins a lot of fights timing their attacks with counters. Wish more viable options were available. Also make the arena matchmaking more of a balanced option w rules and invasions as a anything goes imo.
