IMPRISONED IN CHINA: God is With Me Anytime, Anywhere

Cheng Jie, whose English name is “Esther,” was the wife of a pastor in China. She and her husband had discussed the idea that he could be arrested and go to prison for his Christian work. They hadn’t believed that she would be targeted by the communist government. But in 2014 she was called to the police station for a “meeting” about the school Esther was running. The meeting with police turned into Esther’s arrest and two years in a Chinese prison.
At the time of her arrest, Esther’s sons were aged 3 and 1. Listen to her share how they were affected by her arrest and imprisonment-and even the challenges after she was released and returned home.

Foreign teachers also was forced to write something like a promised letter to never share the gospel. This document will be kept in the police station. Any time you will be in jail once you violate or forgot your promise. I was one of them. Thank God I’m back home in the Philippines.

Because religious people are selfish, arrogant and utterly disrespectful especially when it comes to children's rights. She wasn't locked up for her belief she was locked up for violating child protection laws. knowingly and willing teaching minors religion and pushing her faith onto vulnerable people. You arent allowed to teach minors religion in China, its fine for any adult to have any faith there is no prohibition or even issue with that, utterly fine for you to have your faith, not fine for you to indoctrinate kids before they are old enough to think and decide for themselves. Christians are being persecuted and killed for faith here in the USA. Right now it is being done in secret but it is growing and the American church is asleep. My pastor and his congregation was threatened with arrest in California during recovery from Covid. They allowed bars and gyms to open but not churches. So my pastor fought the controls to US Supreme Court and won. He lost on two lower levels and could have been jailed. The churches are conflicting between the laws of God and laws of man. Christians are tortured, abused, persecuted city to city, and killed. Even the churches are signed on to this evil. These are the last days, perilous times have come.

It is going to get worse during the later days. We will all support one another in the days and years ahead. God is good and He will be there with us in our trials. If I read the season right it will not be too much longer till we all get to see him. I went to church for 50 years and I never read my Bible. In 2017 I almost killed myself and then the Lord reminded me it only takes one day to listen to the New Testament Bible and one day the truth set me free and now I love the Lord with all of my heart mind soul and strength.
