With weather blocking my route on my planned cross country, I decided to leave the pattern and fly around to burn solo hours, resulting in an impromptu cross country flight.Pre-Order N.O. JUSTICE: books2read.com...
N.O. JUSTICE Description:
After facing off against the Russian Bratva a final time, Alex Shepherd resumed his identity as Deputy Troy Wilson in South Texas. Settling in with his fiancée and police K-9 Kruger, he hoped that his past was finally behind him.
But when a Louisiana State Trooper shoots an unarmed man during a late-night traffic stop, unrest descends upon his former hometown and one of his friends from his former life is killed in an ambush. Shepherd reluctantly returns to New Orleans hoping to pay his respects and remain anonymous, but instead finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy that threatens to drag the entire country into a new Civil War.
With time running out, Shepherd must uncover the truth and find justice for the death of his friends. But as he digs deeper into the conspiracy, he soon learns that, in today’s world, there is N.O. JUSTICE.

Striving for excellence motivates you; striving for perfection is demoralizing. Harriet Braiker
@chrischris5510

It takes a certain person to strive for "perfection" in an aspect. Being the best of the best... I started my business, started grabbing up customers in my city, went to the next big city got customers, started to realize I'm happy with the money and the accomplishment, the risk I took and succeeded and I have 4 kids to spend time with... But I don't blame the guy that doesn't stop... So that saying doesn't make sense to me. Its only motivating until you get what you want out of what your were motivated to do! But if its perfection that motivates you, go for it, be the best of the best and to hell with the people who hate you for doing it.

PIC mean Pilot In Command. Like your early student days, you Command the aircraft getting it to bend to Your Will, not what IT wants to do. What I saw here was excellent judgement and not trying to force a situation you weren't comfortable with CW. Very entertaining and very real - every student needs to see this. Keep up the awesome work and you'll soon be commanding that chopper the same way you did the F16 - no doubt!

5,000 hrs and I still get a rough landing here and there. I wouldn’t sweat it. It’s those last few inches that drive ya crazy. Aircraft just doesn’t want to settle and it’s like being on ice. I find if I just relax my grip on the controls, make tiny inputs and be patient, landings are usually smooth. Good luck with training!

Somehow Mover manages to make something this long, slightly confusing and a tad boring at times good to watch (just because aviation-rekated KZbin has us conditioned to see something quite special as unimpressive if it doesn't have extremely low-flying, sonic booms, flares, live fire, aerobatics, explosions or even better, a combination of all of that). Great footage and field of view, good editing, mesmerising radio chat and the presence of the pilot guy you've gotten used to watch I think is what does it.

Here in western NC we have trees like that here too (along with mountains...;-), and my instructor was notorious for pulling the power in the pattern to show me how quickly those trees filled the windscreen and to encourage me to ALWAYS stay within gliding distance of the runway!!! (didn't take but 1 or 2 for me to get the message to "Keep it Tight!!! :-)

Thanks C.W. I flew my first solo at White Sands Missile Range. It was not a helicopter though, although I rode in a lot of them. It is so special. First a Piper, than a C-150. My experience was over the Mal Pais, lava beds that where there for, I suppose, a few million years. I don' remember. They absorbed the sun, and gave us huge thermals. Meanwhile, considering what you are accomplishing, the very different aircraft, I commend you so much. Not sure how to do this here, but I'd like to buy any other book you release... Thanks C.W.L.

Mover. I flew the entire flight with you and had a "Pucker factor" of about a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. :) I flew my last Experimental Home Built aircraft on routes that had trees like you talked about - no damn place where to land, in the event..... Also, you mentioned a "tower" I think - at 500 feet that would really concern me. Your tons of experience really showed through as you moved from airfield to airfield, while flying a completely new type of aircraft. And you did it so effortlessly. (like it was old hat.) I would not have had the balls to "go flying" with that kind of weather, in a new aircraft, in the local area. That's why you are "the man" and I am not. :) Liked those steep approaches when coming home - Lester would be proud. Oh, a maintenance item for the mechanics: Didn't see a "compass correction card" for that whiskey compass. (May have missed it.:) Picky, picky. Really enjoyed the flight with you. Thank you, sir. Funny thing, I was thinking your approach in Slidell was looking great, from a fixed wing perspective. ha FYI… there is a waiting list at St Tammany. There is apparently about 50 people waiting for a hanger there. I’m going talk to those folks and see why they have not built more just based off the waiting list.
