If you are lucky enough to have students who love to be pushed outside of their comfort zones...this may not be a good one for you. But if you do find your students hesitating to volunteer for activities or otherwise expressing tension - then this is a great things to try.
I learned this from my work with Keith Johnstone.
Some times I use a white board to capture the things done badly. Then get the group to translate that into best practices and we are off and running.
Get them playing. Get them relaxed and guide them into new behaviors and mindset. The world of Improvisation. Yes.

I shot this in the Batu Caves in Kuala Lampur while I was teaching a business team about improvisation - well....I was teaching them leadership communication skills but it was really improvisation. If you can reduce fear, you can stand in front of a group with confidence.
