One day, when I was about 12, it was the day back from half term. I remember I got up and walked to school, but I found the gates shut. I called my Mum to ask what was goin on, and she told me it was teacher training day after looking it up online. I was like fair enough, and walked home. Made myself some lunch, played some video games. The next day my Mum was irate. She told me I'd missed school and that she'd got a phone call about my non-attendance. I tried to tell her that she herself had told me it was a td day, but she had no recollection. She thought I was lying. I checked my phone, I hadn't called my mother the previous day. I checked with my friends at school, they said the gates weren't ever locked and that they entered school around the same time I got there. I apologized to my mum, didn't argue because I knew she'd think I was mad. Just kept it quiet. Shits you up man.
