Just as extra info, Apex uses Focal Distance Matching as its ADS functionality by default (0% monitor match) which simply put, based on the ratio at which your FOV decreases with a scope on a weapon, your sensitivity will *feel* slowed down proportionally with the ratio at which your FOV changes. For an example, if you use a 2x scope that cuts your FOV in half with respect to hipfire, your sensitivity will *feel* twice as slow when scoped in versus your hipfire. What this means is that the motions you would need to track a target at 10m in hipfire would be the same motion needed to track a target at 20m in the example 2x scope magnifiaction. The targets perceived size on your monitor in this scenario would also be the same hence why this mechanic is called Focal Distance Matching.

Sensitivity between two different fovs will never be 1:1 or feel the same. Best to leave it at 1.

I'm a year late, but just so you know, you can set dynamic spot shadows on and set spot shadow detail to max because they only affect the characters in the lobby and character select!

Yes, but 1600 dpi makes it so ur mouse is very sensitive to small movements, which may make it a bit shaky

@@jevxnwxn4469 I always play on low sens all I mean is, the lower the dpi the less accurate it becomes but also it detects less mistakes, just like dead zone on controller, u want it as low as possible as long as it doesn’t detect errors and joy-con drifts, regardless of the sensitivity

@@yahlibar6832 your controller example doesn't correlate to mnk (unless i misunderstood u?) when you set deadzone lower it provides more place on your joystick that will offer an input. also lower dpi doesnt detect less mistakes, all it does it move less pixels per inch. even if it did you should try to fix your aiming mistakes and get better at apex :)

the difference of horizontal and vertical sens on streched kinda fucks me up, so I kinda stay on 16:9. but should you raise the sens on like 2x, 3x... , cause they should feel even slower if you put your 1x on 1.32

So for the part for 4:43 Im probs really dumbfounded of what I'm suppose to do. I think I got super lost when you went back to 800 dpi even though 1600 dpi was recommended? Is this part of the method mostly for current players already use to a specific ads sens? Apperciate anyones help and clarification! Other wise im probs sticking with the first method for now. Surprisingly my sens on 1600 dpi is the exact same at about 0.67 also my fov is maxed at 110 yet its still 1.55 in config so hope im not missing something!

can someone explain why you would stretch res rather an just reduce FOV? in csgo there is no FOV slider and the game is about holding angles and getting precise shots off. APEX you can just adjust the FOV to what you view as best. stretch res is pretty much just a horizontal FOV change right?

it makes your game completely wider, if u lowered ur fov on native all it would do is zoom in. however with stretch res is cuts of some of your peripheral vision and stretches the res out

All of it. esports outside of broken boring cod junk but much of what he's talking about with like stretched res and the dpi changes are VERY debunked. Any CS vet will have been through these myths a few times many years ago. Stretched res when you think about it for a moment logically you'll understand all you're doing is killing your fov.
