This is great advice. I think a lot of people never think about how they weigh and balance a boat .

Weight management can increase or decrease bass boat speed by as much as 18%

Excellent video. Great explanation of weight distribution and performance of your boat. Currently I have all AGM’s in my Phoenix 721 Pro XP. I love the way the boat handles now, along with the top end speed. I understand the performance of the Lithium batteries and will probably change over in a year or two. I am very happy with the speed and performance of my boats current battery setup.I am weekend fisherman and would probably benefit by switching over to Lithiums in the future. Thanks again for a very informative video!

You’re welcome. I know a lot of people like to do Lithiums on the trolling motor side, but I’ve never really had a problem with running out of juice with AGMs. I do, however, like the consistently higher voltage on the cranking/house battery side.

The amount of storage in your ikon is on another level. Great video. Thanks.

Good stuff and it makes sense. I went 4 x Ionic Lithium batteries, this upgrade removed 155 lbs. from my battery compartment. My Ranger 521-L has a great hole shot with minimal bow rise!!!

Did the weight adjustment reduce the top end speed?
@randywunderlich631510 ай бұрын
@@ikonboats my top speed using GPS is 69 to 70 mph. 250 Yamaha SHO. That Ranger is a big heavy boat for sure!!! I very seldom crank it up to those speeds anyway… top end was roughly the same with the heavy batteries?

Good to see your move to lithium was a good one. Tight Lines!
