This gentle workout focuses on how to improve coordination for seniors & beginners. These fun brain body exercises will help you to stay agile and active.
We’ll do three sets of exercises five times to enable you to create the neuromuscular connections for different movements.

Coordination is important for many reasons including:

What I love about this is how you help your mom do the exercises. At 87, my mom has many of the same difficulties, and many younger trainers just don't understand the challenges of extreme age.

Thank you for your kind words! It would be terrific if a senior could exercise with the tempo and energy level of the "not so senior" population! Exactly what I needed , my brain needs at least as much as my body & this is the 1st time I've ever been exposed to helping my not young brain . Fun & creative , I really like this & thank you each as usual .

Thanks for doing this for us - what fun! Always enjoy a good challenge! Could you create a different one for about 20 minutes please - perhaps a standing one next time? It would add another level of challenge if you had us repeat a string of certain words while doing the exercises too. I appreciate all the work that you do on behalf of us seniors - - -

Fabulous job ladies. I so enjoyed the humorous sides from both of you in this video. It was so good to see Mochi and feel the vibes, I was about to experience by participating in this exercise. April, the patience you expressed throughout this presentation with your mom, was so sweet. I can remember how my own mom had issues with the left-right body movements and being able to do two or more things (activities) at the same time (multi-tasking). Kudos on another job well done. The oddest Y2N EVER, but vitally important and fund to do. Don't you know that I had the hardest time (and still do) with the nose/ear switch! I'm pretty well coordinated because I used to dance and still do. However, I got a taste of what Mom experiences with her coordination when I tried to do that nose/ear switch. Mom, you're a great example of bravery when displaying your challenges to a vast audience. April your personality sparkled!

Your dancing skills certainly do help with your coordination which is good! The nose/ear switch is a move that Mom remembers from when she was in school a long time ago! Another banner day for me with 3 "new to me" workouts combined with a couple of old favorites! I started my day with this one (new to me/ntm) to wake up both my body and my mind, then did your wall exercises (ntm), then two of your 5-minute upper body workouts, back to back, and finished with one of your 10-minute HIIT workouts that I hadn't tried before. I plan to take it easy and stick to walking outside over the next couple of days but hope to be back to working out on Wednesday. 🙂

Aiko's snap problem is because aging wrinkles the face and smooths thumbprints, so unfair! This is why it is hard to twist open bottles because of lack of friction. Important to master cross--body coordination for self-defense: if street muggers see seniors walking homolaterally then they know that senior is uncoordinated. and can easily be pushed over and robbed
