@@barbaram.6220 yes! Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. It's always fun seeing who views these videos. Now I'm starting to enjoy larger paintings so I can fit more details but I still love my small ones for so much!

@@WatercolorKari Thank you! Now you see why I just had to start this channel and stop keeping all this stuff hidden away. 🤣 It really has got me painting more. Although it has me on my computer editing more, too. 😂😅 But I'm at a weird place where I have the time and want to fill it with something positive! 🎨🖌️🖼️

I have an A4 watercolour pad, that I then cut the pages down to either A5 or A6 sizes and the paint on those sizes, and I have never thought about using washi, thank you for that tip young lady

Thank you for letting me know that helped! These tips seem obvious once you've tried them, but that's why I wanted to share them...in case there are some that others haven't tried yet. Thanks for watching and am excited for you to try the washi tape!

The small bits of paper is a great idea. Never thought of that! Thank you!
@WatercolorwithMegan14 күн бұрын
@@Zitronenkojote It makes such a big difference! I still use it even though I'm starting to experiment with larger paintings again now that I've been doing watercolor for a while. Hope you enjoy giving it a try!

Haha, love how you were concentrating on peeling the washi tape and couldn't talk at the same time. That's me every single video when I attempt to paint and talk at the same time. lol Three cheers for line and wash!! 👏🎉

Yes, I use the backs sometimes as well when I'm practicing. Or sometimes I'll use the backs of dud paintings for swatching colors. 🎨

@@WatercolorKari ohh, yes!! I'm gonna use some old scraps soon to swatch skin tones until I get the colors how I want them. Then I just need to make sure I can re-create them!

I tape my paper to plastic place mats from the dollar store. It protects my table and is easy to move around.
