In this second video of the series, we will continue the series on prophylaxis and prophylactic thinking. This time we draw our attention to the importance of the active prophylaxis. Prophylactic thinking in chess is the habit of constantly asking yourself: “What does my opponent want to do with his last move?”. It can be interpreted as active prevention, which means, that instead of waiting for your opponent to make a threat or to put his piece on a strong square and trying to deal with it, you should prevent it from happening.
This fundamental skill helps you to make moves based on anticipation of moves or plans that your opponent might play.

Sir, I want to ask that what kind of puzzles are present on your website's tactics trainer? Are they "handpicked" puzzles or are they "auto generated" puzzles?

As always, very informative lesson. Although some of the moves in the game are hard to find, the idea is easy to understand and that is to find dynamic moves that make it difficult for your opponent to improve their position.
