You're so quick to get some shapes that are pleasing and getting a cohesive design, gj. I've been working on studying some dystopian/brutalist/dirty architecture to try and create a good scenery to (what will be) my comic. Texturing buildings and finding some sort of style for furniture or integrating vegetation in an urban setting is a bit complicated, but there are a lot of great artists that do it, so I'm confident that it won't be too hard :) Thanks for the vid

I've been trying to get back into sketching and so far I've just been working on simple shapes. I've also tried some of your exercises with starting from blobs made with markers and then details added on top. A found those really good to relax the mind and just draw something. Also, you mentioned Warhammer and I've been on and off into Warhammer since i was a kid in the late 90's. My most recent foray into Warhammer was back in 2019 when I actually finished painting some models and played a few games with a friend. I'd love to see you do some Warhammer stuff. And was the other one you said Doom? That would be awesome too. :)

Contra is one of the first games I remember playing, we have a decent amount of NES games somewhere.. I'm working on trying to apply the technique you had shown to thumbnail spaceships, which is similar to a class I had bought on gumroad some time ago for coming up with mech designs. I want to put those in a video game, but I'm in that phase where I struggle with artwork and programming even though I know I can do it from experience. I've done both in the past.

You like the same two Mortal Kombat characters I did, Baraka in MK2 and Kabal in MK3 --- they're both pretty sweet in MK11 also. Love your videos by the way. I'm reasonably happy with how my drawing skills are coming along, although I'm hopeless when it comes to colouring - just can't wrap my head around it the way other people seem to be able to. But drawing cool creatures and stuff, that's right up my alley, especially the more Lovecraftian kind.

NGL, was interested to watch, but just had the vid played in the background while I just sketch some digital art. Gotta say, why don't we get an hour long or 2 of you just sketching, talking about a potential/hypothetical District 9 universe with a few sketches of creatures if you would have direct it, for fun? I'd be down for that! :) At the moment, had an idea to draw character/creatures for the Swordtember 2024 prompts I did. I wanted to do it earlier, but my mind keeps seeing other artist's competed render work and go, "Man, how do they have their brain wrap around THAT?!" and makes me not motivated because it becomes a "Learning session" rather than a "drawing session"... blegh. lol And *raises hands* 90s kid here, but hell yeah, Contra 3, that side scrolling into the top-down view, that was the shit! lol xP Merry Christmas to you and all who read this!
