It's a hard technique to do, especially since you have a very small window to do your inputs. So I give some advice on how to spot what you are doing wrong, and how to do it right!

However, whole I appreciate you mentioning the Roy Jab+ac Bair combo, I wish you took the time to show it and explain it, even briefly. This video is great because at high level this is considered easy and sometimes I feel shamed for not being able to do it consistently but this is not that easy I’ve been trying for months now and never could figure out what I was doing wrong

Hi Yanno, great vid!!! Pretty useful!! I wanted to know how you make this for full hops , as i usually have my character doing short jumps or hops with these inputs. I'm asking u this because i main wolf and saw some good combos of zackray at evo2019, he used forward air and then he made a quick back air full hop, and boom! Was a nice 2 hits combo which actually killed his opponent.

I don’t think you can do a full hop for this, since it uses the buffer system to get it out as fast as possible and you buffer the aerial and attack which always comes out as a short hop now! However I think he probably did a RAR, I don’t have a dedicated video on it since it’s not as technical to do but you should be able to find a video with a quick search :D Also thanks for the support!

Ok so this makes sense and is good. My only problem is that I have to reset my position to consistently spam it. So after I touch the ground, I have to move forward a bit to reset where I was facing to do it again. I’m using Roy so maybe that’s why? Or maybe I’m doing something wrong?

So is it necessary to learn both attack cancel and to iRAR? I like attack cancel to have instant bair but it doesn't look like you can attack cancel into a uair (I know it's not as common, but maybe some characters have a better hitbox above their head when turned around doing their uair????)

Here's the thing I have stick jump turned on. Is it possible to still do this with Stick jumping? Because I'm horrible without it, but want to keep maining Chrom

Somehow I just can't get pivot cancel bair at all but foxtrot cancel bair feels natural to me. Apparently I've been doing it sometimes without even realizing it.. I use claw grip and just hit the x button with my index finger while I slide my thumb down on the c-stick. I tried for a while to get used to Trigger jumping but it feels so disconnected. It's probably because I'm so used to buffering shorthops now.

I do a claw because I can't mentally remap buttons because I played Melee. My L is set to special because I don't use that shield button, so I'll figure out the tech I can do with it later. How are you comfortable doing X with your index finger?? I do Y because it slightly fits the curve of my hand, but I can't imagine X feeling comfortable.

Did you explain it in reverse? You wanna tilt in the opposite direction then jump and hold the original direction no?

Instant Reverse Aerial is used in a foxtrot while this one is when you are standing still
