When you started out with 140 bpm I thought you were crazy. I always practice with the metronome much slower. But I was able to follow everything, even though I'm not sitting down at my piano, sorry, ukulele. But I really saw the benefit of this method and will try it soon. Merci beaucoup.

You are a good teacher. I play with other people and my internal timing is non existent at this point. This is day one of trying to crack this..about to give up if I don’t..no pressure! But seems some of us can’t hear when a bar needs another beat or two…

Great Video Brett. I tend to speed up while playing, so a metronome is a great help. I can do all three levels with the simple strum. I'll try it with different strums and see how it goes. I like your classes. Thanks so much, Ronda

Good job, Ronda! Applying this same idea to other strumming patterns makes for good practice. Enjoy!

Thank you struggled to understand how to use the metronome yet I knew I needed it to help my rythm and timing . I 72 and not allowed to listen to pop music as a child and completely missed out on the era of "internalizing" music. But I am really hearing the words and rythms and understanding for the first time so many of the great artists of my youth. Only been playing uke 3 years and so love it. Tnhankyou

Just with down-strums on the same chord, I can do this execise without any problems. I haven't tried yet with other stumming patterns and chord changes though.

Hello Brett. Got my new uke now and I’m enjoying it immensely! A metronome is a useful tool for all budding musicians. My husband uses one for his piano practice. I’ll have an in-depth look into this video later .. shopping to do .. I’m hoping it will help me when playing slow songs. That’s a big problem for me so I avoid them. Looking good young man! Love from Winnie x
