Thanks for taking the time to film and edit this Chris. Watching that video I can see I am far from perfect and need to work on a few things myself.... ☺

I think that is the point of the video, everyone can improve. Thanks for helping me make it, would love to do another, once i have sorted out my off the ground cast.

Hi good work mate, funny for years I have allways used my right arm to cast quite often I think man it should be getting out further. Next time I get the surf rod out I will definitely get the left arm 💪 into it keep the right arm for me Beer 😊 . Cheers good video Steve .South Australia

Really enjoyed that thank you. I’ve learnt my first fault straight away and that is my foot placement on the beach. I’ve got a match tonight and that’s the first thing I’m going to put right 👍🏻

Excellent video. I haven't pendulum cast for 25 years as i was fishing i cant remember whether it was langney point or Pevensey bay and my cast went parallel to the sea and just out of range was a cople with 2 kids. I could have killed someone so ive never done it since i definitely need help with pendulum casting. Keep up the good work dont catch all the fish lol all the best from kent

Same here, a pendulum caster broke off whilst my wife and I were fishing on top of the harbour wall at Newhaven Arm years ago, and the lead weight flew like a bullet a foot or two over my wife's head. If she hadn't been killed by the lead she would have crashed over the edge of the arm at a minimum. Lucky us, instead we have had another 40 odd years together since then. NOBODY should pendulum cast anywhere near other people in my opinion, in fact it should be a crime.

@@robertYTB78g I feel like they should have mentioned how dangerous this can be. Seen some pretty irresponsible behaviour over the years. It for sure can be fatal when it goes wrong.

Used to fish with brett in the very early eighties along langney point and pevensey bay and he was a very good caster then with a multiplier .

What joy at the instructor's mention of this defect and, above all, for THE SOLUTION provided in detail. Indeed, self-taught (in France) I tried to correct but with difficulty Many thanks for this simple sharing of knowledge. A truly providential (Christmas) gift.

A very underrated skill, this style is akin to a golf swing. When you hit the sweet spot the rod just feels alive almost. Sorry for mentioning the G word lol.

Morning, another great video but no mention of when you should release the line , surely its important , as the power can be lost if released too early. There my be a trigger
@kf857510 ай бұрын
The one tip i was given many moons ago when first being tought to cast overhead as a kid (nothing like ground casting let alone pendulum casting) after buying my first ever rod, was to pick a point in the sky at as close to 45° elevation as poss, then look at that point as you come through with the cast. Then just let it happen. When trying it with a fxd spool or a multi, it just works. Dont know why. Works day and night to lol

What size line do you use?! Mono or braid?! How do you tie your shock leader?
@bgreen5207 ай бұрын
I use.32 ultima f1 main line (mono, never use braid on a multipler). Shock leaders I use ultima tapered leaders - 12-75lbs bs. I cut off the first few metres until I get to 25-35lb bs. From there I tie a albrite knot.

pendulam casting is beautiful to watch, totally un-necessary as most "big" fish come close to shore especially at night! 15-30 yards is the sweet spot
@flamintasty11 ай бұрын
Yeah I know what you mean. I mean who needs to pendulum cast a long way when the fish are a long way from the shore. Totally stupid idea, casting long distance when the fish are far away 🙄
@leerichy648911 ай бұрын
He's definitely right. After 5 years of hard practice my max distance on the field is 30yds. I can guarantee you that I have NEVER caught a fish any further from the shore than 30yds. Thus totally proving his point that casting further than 30yds is a waste of time..........😂

instead of being a no big fish dick head believing "sea angler mag" try fishing close in , big baits big fish i.e mackerer head, whole calamari or even whole fish ! good luck @@flamintasty
