Great video Matt. What a great reminder to look at the small details in an image before you call it done. I try to remove about the same amount of things in pictures as you. The kind of stuff no one will notice you took care of, lol. One of the crazy things about Photoshop is there are so many different ways to do things, like removing unwanted details, that we can all learn from each other. Because we all have our own ways of doing things that have worked for us for many years and we may not know 10 other ways exist, lol. When I use the spot healing brush, I keep my left hand fingers on the [ and ] keys so I can make the brush bigger and smaller quickly. I know there are other ways to do it, I have a WACOM tablet so you could do things like set pressure sensitivity to change brush size, but I generally use the mouse for my retouching. You can click and drag over a larger object, like the length of the pole, (as if you were painting) to see how good a job it did in removing it one go. As you were saying sometimes it just won't look good, and you may have to use another technique entirely to remove the telephone pole. I also find it helpful to reduce the hardness of the brush. Keep up the good work!
