After months of studying, I passed my test with an 83%! About an hour before the test I watched this entire video again just to make sure I got it. Thank you so much for all the help! Between this video and a youtuber named Mr. Mig's classroom, the test was easy!

Thank You so much. Today I pass 90% on 1st attempt. I watched this video 2 times and took notes separately. This video covers large variety of topics on the exam day. Thank you so much again for putting this course for Free. The only topic missing i how to read “Chart Supplemental U.S.” I also used an app called “Part 107 Test” for practice questions.

Thank you! I watched this video a few times and it was super helpful. I just took the Part 107 and passed like so many others in the comments. I also read through another free study guide available online and took some of their sample questions. All really helpful stuff. So thankful for these kinds of resources online. If you're thinking of doing this certification but unsure of how long it will take you, do it. I put it off for a long time and just flew recreationally. But this will open up some new opportunities. It doesn't take that long to prep, you can use free resources to do it (8-10 hrs for me using freely available resources online, done in one evening and early morning prior to test lol) and it will be worth it.

Hey.. so I bought the Ruko RID module. I saw that you can register the device and use it on multiple drones because you register the device itself and the label goes on the device. I am not sure though if this is for recreational flying or Part 107 flying. I did read that ideally you get one module per drone you use for commercial use.. and that's fine they aren't that expensive. Just curious if you know if this one module I got can be used on multiple drones for recreational use?

I have both cinema lens and camera lens. Was thinking of making a video of how both would be like side by side covering 16mm to 85mm primes and cine lenses of the same focal length paired with dji Ronin 4 with focus assist for cine lens to have a precise distinction for both do in photography and video. :)

I like many others was very skeptical about using just this video as a main studying source, well I watched this video for week about 2 times a day, I took notes on key things such as weather and class airspace. I then went on the AppStore (iPhone) and got an app for 5.99 which is called (Prepware remote pilot) the app had all the questions you need to know and then some, I highly recommend the app for studying as it gives you the right answer when you get it wrong and an explanation and where to find it at in the AIM book! These were my only two studying items, I took my test this past Friday and passed with only studying these two items for a week. This video tells you everything you need to know and you can also get his slides to take notes on if you need it slowed down! Thank you Matt for this video! The test isn’t hard, don’t be intimidated, just study maps as that’s 60% of the test! The only thing I’d recommend is watching the video with someone and try to explain it to them the best you can in your ability, it will help you process the information more!

I never comment on videos, however this video in particular accounted for 90% of the study materials I had used on the internet. After watching this study guide ~10 times and taking notes, plus another video going more depth into sectional charts, I passed the Part 107 with an 85% on the first attempt. This is a great study guide with clear and concise descriptions and information. Thanks for providing it, Matt!

PROCRASTINATOR ALERT!! My job needed me to get this certification ASAP for some inspections. I booked the test last week for today and was so busy I didn’t get to study much. Saturday I read half a book called “FAA PART 107 Study Guide” by Corey Joel. Sunday I watched this video about half way. Monday I was slammed at work so I was like I’ll study all night long until my test at 9am Tuesday Today and sacrifice sleep if I have to. Yeah right, the boys told me to jump on the game and catch some dubs so now it’s closer to midnight. No reschedule possible within 24hours so time to lock in. Yeah right, I fell asleep .. I wake up at 4am by pure luck. T-minus 5 hours til testing and it’s 1 hour away. I finish watching this video. Then I watch another 10 minute video on “most missed questions on the faa part 107” .Then I try some practice tests… well I really only answered like 10 practice questions and was too tired to keep going so I turn this video on and watch it for a second time on x1.25 speed up until I get to the testing center. I get there a little early and sit reading the rest of the book as fast as I can (The book is basically a written version of everything talked about in the video so it was a good recap). Exactly 9am I’m testing 💩 bricks with maybe 5 hours total of cramming. Pass with a 75%. A combination of this video, that 10 min video, and the book all had information from my test. The legend in the book they gave was my biggest help because it helped me read the maps since I didn’t exactly memorize it but was familiar with it enough to find the answers I was looking for. I’m sure the answers I missed were things I kinda remember but didn’t retain. Not my proudest cram but if you’re wondering if it’s possible. It is. Shout out to this channel for being the most up to date and informative. Feel like I became a drone operator in less than 24 hours. 😎

Thanks for this video! For anyone curious about a study process: - First, watched the video at 1.5x speed without pausing. - Scheduled my exam a day after the first viewing, giving me a week to prepare. - Then, rewatched it while taking notes and pausing often. - Reviewed notes sporadically in the days leading up to the exam. - Spent the final two nights taking free practice exams online for about three hours each night. - The video was great for base knowledge, but practice exams helped me spot gaps. - Some practice exam questions weren’t covered in the video, so looking at practice exams sooner would have been wiser. - Spent about 12 hours in total prep time -There are likely more efficient study methods, but I didn’t spend anything beyond the $175 exam fee, so this worked for me. - Scored 90% on my first attempt! - Just put in the work, and you'll do great! Definitely be familiar with all the topics in this video.

@@PeachyPixiee I just googled 'Part 107 practice test' and found a bunch of resources. I used free practice tests from Rupprecht Law P.A. (Drone Law and Attorney Assistance), King School, thedroneu, thedronecoach, and the FAA sample questions PDF. Also, I watched a couple of KZbin videos that went over the most missed questions.

The Tascam is exactly the type of audio recorder I need regardless of its age. I need an independent recorder that does not connect to a mobile phone or video recorder. I need it to be people proof, to make sure the microphone does not pull out easily, and having dual recording at different decibel levels is great. With a wireless recorder, I would always be worried the wireless signal would drop out at a crucial moment. So despite the new wireless recorders with the latest technology, sometimes older is better!

Cine lenses have a glitch or defect, a grain to the image which gives it a beautiful distortion to the lighting in the image. Which is somehow adorable to human eyes. Not just the bokeh overall it has a mild glitch and rich creamyness to the image. Its just adorable for some reason.

ClearClick is fair, however, if your tape was recorded in EP (extended play) mode, the lip-sync will usually be off as the recording progresses. It's awful to watch. This can also occur with tapes recorded in SP (standard play) mode if your VCR is not functioning well. A TBC (time-base corrector) will fix this problem, but a TBC is very expensive, and in 2024, they are very hard to find (in working condition).

16:00 does this part also apply to land formations like cliffs? Like if I take off over the edge of a cliff that's over 400 ft up is that immediately illegal or can I stay within 400 ft horizontally from the cliff to stay in compliance?

Correction on MTR's: What you have pointed out on the map are Victor/RNAV Airways (commonly used by Civil and Commercial operators flying under IFR Rules with higher minimums). MTR's are the dark faded gray line noted by 'IR", such as IR31 on your map. But great job on the video!!!!!!!!
