Using my formaster with a paracord cable, not a rubber band, i'm finding that on release I don't collapse at all, my hand/elbow doesn't move forward but stays in place, should I be attempting to achieve even more back tension in my shot and force the follow through? It feels like the thing that is preventing my follow through is the string rather than lack of back tension. Either way, thanks for the video guys, it was a great demonstration.

Have you ever compared it to the astra archery shot trainer?

Do you have to lower the bow poundage when using this form master? Or just keep everything the same?
@TripleTroubleArchery5 жыл бұрын
Keep everything the same :)

Great video! Looked like there was a bit of a sore spot on your neck where the band strikes it on release. Is this much of a problem with the elastic Formaster? I only have a rigid one.
@electoplater5 жыл бұрын
hardest thing to learn but i thought your fingers should not be on the string then you are using your back and shoulder to pull to anchor point

That is a nice idea to replace the horrible rubber band on the Formmaster with the elastic Beiter one.

I've Googled, but I can't find anything about an elastic Beiter band for the Formaster. Where could I find one? Thanks!

Can you please explain how to execute with back tension ? are you using rhomboid or trapezius ? both ? or holding with the trapezius and contracting with the rhomboid ?
@rubenv30266 жыл бұрын
The main muscle working in your back should be the lower trapezius
@mortenjacobsen56736 жыл бұрын
@@rubenv3026 nope they explained it in another video,and the ksl metod favors the rhomboid where does your theory about the trap come from ?
@rubenv30266 жыл бұрын
It is anatomiccaly the best muscle as it places the least stress on the shoulder muscles.
@mortenjacobsen56736 жыл бұрын
@@rubenv3026 you got your anatomy wrong , the trapezius lower part helps pull the elbow down counterproductive to angular motion , and the rhomboid can contract while the trapezius is stretched out from holding the draw weight , the trapezius is your main drawing muscles so it actually the first muscle you want to engage and if you get your elbow far enough behind the arrow it should be at resting posisjon allowing the rhomboid to pull a relaxed scapula , also the direction of the fibers in the trapezius to the spine will pull the scapula away from the spine , at the setup the rhomboid is relaxed and resting . a muscle under tensions burns more energi than a muscle contracting , the trapezius being bigger also requires more energi and control with a large range of motion to be inconsistent
@rubenv30266 жыл бұрын
@@mortenjacobsen5673 Your explanation makes sense except for the traps pulling the scapula away from the spine. The lower trap (not the upper and middle) serves to pull the scapula down and towards the spine. I honestly don't understand why you asked the question in the first place if you seem to know te answer already

Jaaaajaja..archery became a lawyer's sport...the more complicated the better for the manufacturers & sellers of equipment and of course for the so called "independent reviews" (paid advertising)
