Thank you. Just what I was looking for, three string arpeggios following the chords of the scale notes. I’m just starting to follow some music theory. Excellent lesson, sir.

Nice guitar, these are actually the easiest sweeps to do. The tough ones are the 5 strings and up. Might as well just string skip instead for those.

Thanks, I think 3 strings are both easy and hard, in that it is few notes and no huge strecthes, so the left hand has it easy, but the right hand is very uneven when doing 3 string patterns because of the pull offs. I will also make videos with 5 and 7 string appegios. In my experience most 6 string sweeps works better when rearranging the same notes onto 5 strings. I got an 8 string this year, but I haven't started diving into 8 string sweeps, and maybe that is a little esoteric all in all.

@@rasmuslaurberghansen8484 Why I said it is better for those struggling to do 5 strings or six string sweeps is look at Paul Gilbert, he has said he doesn't or can't do 5+ string sweeping well, so he makes up for it by being able to string skip like a god. 8 string skipping is insane though.

Agreed three are way easier

A guitarist needs feeling, expression and emotion, not this soulless speed playing! Name me one song in the history of music where this is needed! Young guitarists are spoiled these days and think they should be able to do that! Listen to Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Eric Clapton, Beatles, Eagles also bands like Mr. Big, Warrant, Guns'n'Roses, Metallica, Slayer...the list is endless and you know and understand everything about music..... We need milestones like that again these days !!!

In Painkiller of Judas Priest, the guitarist use this technique. Just because you don´t like it or can´t play it, doesn´t mean is useless

@@jeffreyesquivel5705 did I say useless ? I've been playing for quite a long time and I think I've mastered a lot on the guitar ! I also think that you didn't quite understand my statement !

@@JarrettMackinnon Eddie wasn't really known for using sweep picking, maybe occasionally, but very rarely! But that's also not the point.... you also missed the point of what I was saying !
