I've been using this for the last week or so on quest 3. It truly is a fantastic piece of software. It takes some titles to the crispness you get from PCVR. I found Resident Evil had that slight shimmer you notice in most games, run the HD+ profile and wow, that final bit of crispness, with no hit on performance. Worth every penny.

@@delj3875 You'll need a PC just to install the software, but once it's installed it doesn't have to be connected to the PC again. It just runs from the headset. All the install instructions are on the website. Good luck

You don’t need a pc to install sidequest or QGO on quest 3. You can do the majority from inside the headset. If you have an android phone you can also use that to install it. Plenty of videos on KZbin about installation without a pc. I installed QGO today and wow. After the fall looks great, but ghosts of tabor was such a difference.

Bought yesterday for my quest 3 and been playing all my games to test. The HD+ profile on vampire masquerade and breachers look PCVR level good😳. My gigabytes 3060s been acting up lately and i play through VD. Breachers HD+ profile through the app is better than what MY pc is currently putting out...Wow lmfaoooo. This just made the quest 3 feel wayyyy more worth it than it already did🔥

Already love QGO. One thing: the hd+ profiles will set the hz to 72 quiet often. But i think, if the game runs at stable 72fps/72hz, and you look at a crystal clear and sharp picture, it is completly worth it.

Hi great video. Ive been using this app since it came out, the Dev. is from France and keeps it updated, and has great support. GT is right thought you have to watch out how hard you push some games, because it will over heat your Quest. So far it only over heated my Quest 2, making my own settings in a game, but never in settings that was already tweaked. If you Quest dose over heat there a safety switch that shuts it down, so you can start it back up after it cools down a bit, but I wouldn't want this to happen to many times. But still I just wanted to say its a great working App, and I would just stick with settings that have already been tweaked and tested for the best results. Hope every one has a great day. @@Verociity You can watch back in Files or Virtual desktop as there are sbs options (also sbs half in virtual desktop). Just watching a flat screen with 3D. Its not perfect, and formats aren't ideal. The app is worth it regardless so buy and experiement

The app is great. However many of the HD+ options run at 72hz which is a big nono for me. I'm not willing to trade smoothness for a crisper picture. I find many of the HD modes are better because they are set to 90hz or higher.

hey thanks for this...i play contractors and needed a way to enable 120hz. i think contractors vr on the quest 3 defaults to 72hz...on optimizer, i set personal settings to default resolution, 120hz, unlocked cpu, unlocked gpu, and dynamic foveated render...its same game but smoother witht the 120 frames per second 😊 - my cousin tried it and doesnt feel motion sickness anymore thanks

There's a lot of possibilities for huge performance hits if you start getting too greedy on some games and try to max things out which we all know a ton of people would likely do and blame the Quest.. "My Quest keeps overheating" would be one of the top topics everywhere much like we see about people complaining about the battery issues so i'm sure they're fully aware of this and just took the easy route. I do agree though that the majority of developers should have already released updates for games to take advantage of the 3 so something like this wasn't even necessary for such a huge chunk of the game library.

I've been trying to use this and it just won't work for me. It says ADB isn't enabled, but I've definitely enabled it. I tried first over wi-fi and told it to always enable, but it failed. Then I did what it said and tried over USB and told it to always enable, but it still failed. I followed the instructions to get it working to a T and nothing seems to work.

There’s 5 ways to enable it. I used developer hub and had to restart the app a few times, and while the developer hub option didn’t highlight, the app did and started working

I would bet the Q3 has a battery shut off before it discharges the battery enough to damage it. With new lithium battery a ton of safety features must run so as it to not catch fire on your face.

I bought the app last night. Into the radius and resident evil 4 look amazing. Into the radius is set at 129% for HD+ I thought that might be quest 2 so i puahed it to 150% the game was not running well while in the radius 😂

I guess it depends on how hardcore you go but keep in mind most apps are designed for quest 2 hardware and the current chip is twice as strong so you have a lot of overhead to work with. I don't think it'll be an issue without you going crazy on a custom profile and asking it to render 8k at 120hz or something

Hey Gamertag. I messed up when it asked me about enabling the ADB settings when you first launch the software, I clicked on enable, and neglected to click enable and never ask again button at the bottom. Now I can’t go back to that first load screen, even after deleting the app. Now I have a big red box at the top of the app that says you need to enable ADP settings, but I have no way to do that again. Do you have any ideas for how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated because I would really love to try this on my Quest 3. Thanks!

"There is anti-aliasing" / nope. There is aliasing, i.e. blocky pixels visible. Anti-aliasing is the thing in raster graphics that tries to get rid of that aliasing, using either filtering effects, super sampling or both.

Do you have issues with graphics corruption (flickering dots, lines etc across the display) when unlocking the GPU and CPU with the optimiser? I'm running a Quest 2, but I noticed some graphics corruption with the last 2 Quest 2 OS updates that had never previously been there. Not sure if it's because they are just pushing the higher clocks, degradation of my device, recent weather (40+ degrees celcius), recent app/game updates or some combination of those factors.

Hello, I have quest 3 with bobovr m3 pro and I was playing red matter with quest game optimizer on the default settings for this game, after 20/30 minutes on the power bank, one of the four dots is lit, is this a normal result? Is the battery draining too quickly? It's so fast in all my games... how can I fix it, because I read that the battery with bobovr should last over 1 hour...

The dev makes profiles that take it into account but he hasn't made a lot of them specifically for quest 3 yet so until then may have to fiddle. That said if you're fine with 72hz there is a more headroom. The quest has dynamic resolution/asw etc by default which would level performance so it can be a bit misleading.

Likewise arguments that "VR peaked about 3-4 years ago", was just a matter of the focus on PCVR with relatively high fidelity and larger experiences, followed by the introduction of the bargain basement Quest 2, the pandemic and mass adoption. The subsequent focus on standalone resulting in more casual VR games with less fidelity and smaller scope (how much have we moved forward from Beat Saber in 2018 and Half Life Alyx in 2020?). It's also when online VR games were flooded with (poorly raised) children. Doesn't change the fact that an increase in declinism is a factor of aging.

It's just a matter of looking at arbitrary selections of negative developments as outweighing all the positives, or arbitrary start and finish points (for instance the decline in headset sales as the Quest 3 launch approached, or any of the periods where "VR is Dead!" articles have starting appearing) and "going down the up escalator". I have my nostalgia about retro-gaming, but I couldn't honestly argue that Starflight was "better" than Starfield, that the original Resident Evil was "better" than RE4 in VR or that Doom was "better" than Doom 2016. The reliance of gaming on technology, and our continued rate of technological progress, makes it hard to argue against. Nonetheless, as we get older the rosier we tend to view the past and the more inclined we are to believe that things are in decline.
