Anyone can get as good as I have with enough practice, but my true passion has always been more towards design than actual programming. I feel like I’m only just scratching the top of the iceberg, but I really appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm :)

My professional work hasn’t gone much further than various teaching/instructional positions and just recently entry-level marketing. Without an impressive portfolio and a bachelors degree, there’s little time for game dev outside hobby and freelance gigs. Not to discourage anyone from getting into it haha

The funniest for me is Prompt Engineer. I mean sure you can come up with names for it but engineer or Ai artist is just so wrong lol. (Also an actual Ai expert is very good at coding a bunch of complex Ai concepts, probably not someone who just uses Ai services)

@@roggos3668there is a certain knowledge involved in prompting to get the best results. I've used some chatgpt plugins and I was surprised how elaborate prompts they give you and how drasticaly it changes the resulsts. Sure, you can learn how to write such prompts, but it takes some time to sit and use AI and research what works best and you have to have at least an idea how AI work. If you don't want mediocre results and don't have time to try many many times to get something at least decent out of AI, then why not pay for it?

Yeah I don't really understand. If he paid someone to make a good scenario for an AI like AI dungeon I could maybe understand, because ChatGPT isn't really made for a big roleplaying experience like that, and it might be hard to come up with details to make it go through an interesting roleplaying experience. But asking ChatGPT to come up with a game idea is as easy as talking to it like you would a child xD. Asking it questions or telling it things (like come up with a game with x mechanic, or can you come up with a game concept with x concept?) then if it doesn't understand, explaining what you really wanted it to do.

The art looks really nice to me, the rotating looks really smooth and nice, I like the death-falling too, the landing effect fits really well with the rest of the things, the grappling hook is cool, i like it a lot The graphics make it look nicer feel a lot less flat than the other ones, and I like the mechanics, to sum it up.

I don't know what exactly qualifies them as AI experts but even so there really is no real benefit to having an 'AI Expert' creating game development prompts. If anything, someone with experience developing games has a better chance of generating meaningful answers as they understand the right questions to ask.

To me, 1 and 4 looked very cool. 1 seemed to be really cool in terms of intense puzzle and problem solving, while 4 having much cooler concepts but seemed a bit on the easier side due to switching gravity holding you in place. I think it would be interesting if switching gravity was time-constrained and you would just fall if you didn’t do anything for 2-3 seconds.

The 3rd game felt really satisfying to me. The jumping and gravity was very fluent and easy to execute leading to a consistent flow of gameplay. The mid-level saves were also a nice touch. Overall great work to all developers ^^

The third game had an incredible idea, artstyle and sound design The fourth game however claims the top spot as it managed to make the gravity flip concept interesting. I really hated the idea because it's been done so many times and it's more frustrating than interesting The last game however was actually brilliant and fun, and that's what games are all about While the visual and sound design were also great Touché to both developers, a combination of the two would make for a brilliant game

I think the review really should be based on the price. As a free game sure. But many of us paid over $100 for this game which has done almost nothing to address the most basic bugs and missing features. Cage match would be a dream… but honestly there’s not even an animation for throwing someone over the top rope in the rumble. They do some crazy glitchy handstand. Ladder match 1 on 1. But we can’t have it with 3 people? Why ?

I found an interest in it but looking at the misleading thumbnail and little to no commentary just bores me away. Also disliking the button at this point is not only futile towards the channel but feeding the algorithim more because essentially "more comments, more likes/dislikes (to the video) = more engagement = more chance to be viewed into the front page of KZbin. Hats off to the last developer, $125 isn't a small amount but the game he made was well worth the price. Not only did they program an amazing & fun game, with complex gravity and swinging mechanics, but even added in incredible art and designed the levels, not to mention. Bro really went above and beyond to make the game worth your money, I would even tip him extra. Though ofc I'm speaking as another fellow game developer. Also, the ai expert is such a big scam. I thought you'd pay him $5 or something, but you said $25?!? Bruh, he might've even just asked chatGPT to generate the prompts that he gave you.

Loved the look and sound of the third game. Puzzle complexity was cool on the first, and i liked the idea of pausing during gravity switch in the fourth. Overall, i think everyone did a nice job. Could definitely go on from there
