Love the intro and outro. Totally slams I do. Starting up again after 41 years off the board. I'm 59 and learning stuff I couldn't do as a kid.

It's always fun to watch your vids. I know exactly what you are going through after recovering from an injury. Mental blockades are a piece of sh.. to overcome. One point about your nose stall revert. You turned to late. The revert should mainly happen on your front truck. Reverting in the other direction is also a good practices to. It helps a lot to get the frontside rock 'n roll back. Keep on skating

@@JonBishopSkate lol. I thought you were trying to show common ways to fall when trying those tricks. The one to the ribs on the spine looked butal. I’ve seen that happen to a lot of people.

Nice work, the foot in the pocket is good advice. Watching I couldn't figure out which was which doing both together they looked as clean as each other. Never done a nose stall revert but I might give that a whirl. Keep rolling fella!

I love nose/tail stalls .I do the relaxed nose stall but I prefer the more aggressive ones where I get the foot closer to the edge of the nose and the wheels go higher .Reverts I cannot do .Need to work on them.Good vid Ramp is pretty similar to what I skate.Same materials .4 ft?

Love your videos Jon. Great job on getting the nose stall reverts back. I just started getting tail stall reverts. I want to try and get them back side revert next. Have been doing a front side revert so far to come back in. As always your channel is inspirational for the next session. going to try and get the nose stalls when it stops raining here. Watching the process and your commentary that goes with it, always gives me ideas and confidence to try different tricks.

Hello mate, fantastic vid’ and very timely , On Wednesday I also decided to try and reclaim the nose stalls , I’ve not had them on lock since the mid 90’s and only had a few lucky ones since getting back in the board. I’m definitely leaning forward too much as I over balance into the platform too often if I’m not under cooking the entry and bouncing off the coping. I absolutely need to try and relax a bit and stay in the ramp more like you did. You got to the point where it was hard to tell which was tail and which was nose which was awesome, well done ! And a hearty congratulations on the 1M that’s astonishing but very well deserved!👏🏼👊🏼

Jon, can you recommend any companies that sell quarter pipes? I don't have the skills or time to build one myself. I'm looking for a 2ft high ramp to fit in my parents garden so I can practice some tricks whilst not at the skatepark. I've googled some but not sure about the design or quality. cheers

Hi Jon, hope you are well. Just a quick question I live near Roche, but the mini ramp is 4ft there, I'm looking for a 2ft or 3ft mini to practice basic tricks? Are there any close by as haven't visited all the skate parks around. Thsnks for your time much appreciated!

Hey Dude, Yeah, there are a couple of sections at concrete waves 🌊 that are small. Also Probus has a mini ramp that is pretty mellow?!

Hey jon thanks for the Video! just in case you run out of ideas. maybe you could make a video about your "skate life balance ". Im in my very late 30tees and father of two children i find it super hard to get some free time for skating and if i do i run out of energy very fast and my muscles hurt for weeks..Also i recognize after 3 days skating my Performance goes rapidly down: tricks i had on lock are then giving me a hard time.. anyhow i Was just wondering how much time do you spend for a Session, how offten per week. any food advise? stuff like this .. would be super interesting to know your secrets how you can get so much skating done! :))) thank you !!!

Any guesses what the radius is on this ramp? I’m building one and this looks perfect
@JonBishopSkate3 жыл бұрын
Hey Dude Yeah it’s great to learn on, but it is a touch too mellow I’d say? My backyard ramp was similar and had a 6’10” radius? I recon about 6’ to 6.5’ radius would feel pretty standard up to about 3.5 ft high. The indoor mini is a 5 foot ramp with a 7’ radius and that feels pretty steep in comparison ?!
@davehollin64773 жыл бұрын
