Thanks dude, It’s a tricky one to get to look good. Onlookers may just think it’s a beginner trying a tail stall lol

Finally got this one. Learnt the nose stall first, trick for me was to get the speed right and relax into it. then i had to learn switch drop in separate (same process as learning drop in - commitment).And then put them together. thanks jon for your tips

I learned this yesterday after watching your vid. Keeping your weight in the ramp at first definitely helps the mental aspect. Couldn’t bring myself to switch drop in for anything just standing up there!

Man I wish any of my local skateparks had mini ramps. I just learned to drop in on a quarter pipe nearly as tall as me after skating for about a week, but nose stalling at the top of the opposite ramp sounds awful. Nice to see the progression though, I might even try it myself in the next couple of weeks :)

Wow, so great to see the progress you make! This trick is only in my head to do, already for some month, but had never the nerves to try it. Your video gives me a little nudge to actually maybe try it. I like it a lot to see videos building up the progression together with fails instead of seeing only how a pro performs the trick. When I watch the video I can feel the fear when you do the switch/fakie drop in for the first time

Nice one dude, send me a vid of the nose stall and switch drop in when you get it!! I’d be so stoked to see it !!

Nice one Jon, that switch drop in is scary 👍
@JonBishopSkate4 жыл бұрын
Mini Ramp Progress yeah man, it looks a bit rubbish because there’s nothing to say that you are switch. if one tried it at the skate park people would just assume you are a complete beginner lol !!

I was actually trying this for the first time yesterday. I started low and worked my way up untill I could tap de coping but now I’ve seen you try this by starting to go all the way up at first and step off with your backfoot. I’m gonna try that ‘in between’ step too next time. Hopefully it helps. Great video again! Keep it up😀🛹

Just got this on my micro ramp the other day. When dropping back in, I find that I do a tiny hop with the foot on the platform as I drop down. It helps me to get into it.

Any tips for really getting up there and being able to stand up on it as opposed to just sort of just tapping it and getting out right away (which is how i do them)
@JonBishopSkate4 жыл бұрын
KC hey dude, I guess it’s speed and pumping up (imagine jumping up onto the coping with the front foot) I found getting up there the easy bit compared to coming in, overall it feels pretty consistent now.

U should put a mirror on the side against the fence, so u can see how it looks like , wonder if that would help. Like dance studios.

Hi Guy Yeah, lucky to have a little micro climate in the part of the south coast of the UK I live in. I try to pick my day when I record as a sunny day looks much better and it drys the grass so I don’t get mud on my wheels when I fly off lol
