i think when looking at the calculator you should look at the reverse too: drawing one of the pieces *without* the other. since trade in is not like a solar recharge - in the case of trade in you have a double dependency, both pieces need the other one to work. that being said, in the case of cutting trade in this will lead you to the same conclusion of not cutting it, since it doesn't even significantly help with drawing only one of the pieces. but as you mentioned, it does significantly reduce the odds of seeing both pieces together. i'm not a fan of upstart in this deck specifically (usually i'm a big advocate for that card), because it really delays the lose lose situations where they just can't handle the 800 hits anymore. i think a card that might be worth considering in amaryllis (despite its huge downsides) could be hand destruction. there's one flaw in cutting the number of tyt / ama though, and that is that you also cut the odds of milling it. it's tough to really just logic that problem out imo, since it's fairly complex. probably just needs testing. but overall i'm on the same page as you, that trying to maximize consistency is a necessary step for this deck

@@pr-pc8fq Love the analysis ! I think i agree, my latest profile plays 3 cyber valleys to fix consistency on top of maximizing the steal cards like mark brain and mind control! Check it out of you haben't already!

I feel like there’s a trade-off You can add upstart goblin/draw traps to make your opening hands slighty more consistent, but at the same time you’re making your mills off of the lightsworn package and trooper worse Personally not a huge fan of that approach but again a great video and great discussion!

@@gian-luca7565 Appreciate the comment :) I feel like theres merit to both approaches but it depends how you want to approach the deck, further testing I like some non upstart builds better but could be a concept that works in other decks outside amaryllis!

May be cause I'm biased towards the burn damage of Amaryllis being a big factor in why i like it, is the reason ive never considered Upstart. Ive tried a line up of 4 or 5 legacy jar and like it tho. Find it helps unbrick hands and waste targets that Tytanial doesnt have to stop

@@MrBagelBites i love the idea of the yatas/jars but im so pilled on decree in side that i cant justify adding traps to the main deck!

2 Armory seems okay since you only have 2 targets. I like this modern approach, reminds me of Tearlaments.😂

@@mosesnyper Yeah its very subjective but I have found less armory to be less bricky but still good. also I have started cutting d.d.r and armory and just play multiple mark
