a common evening activity for me is to write down 3 things I am grateful for. then I ask my husband and write his 3 down. then I share mine with him. it's a nice way to end the day with him.

I love my WH A5 notebook. Probably going to get the wallet thing at some point. I like that David Round is really experimenting with these templated pages.

Cheers, Todd - I can happily recommend the little notebook wallet - really handy to carry every day. The A5 is now pretty much my daily bible. I have my diary in it, and keep my To Do lists, meeting notes and random ideas in there. It just makes me happy to be able to write in it!

I have to admit that I love it when you make an error when speaking and correct it later, such as when you said, “Day of the month…” only to write onscreen, “Day of the week, you Twit!” Sorry, Michael, these written corrections crack me up every time! Lol

You have a nice collection of WH growing. I’m so glad I could help get you introduced and addicted to the stuff 😂 🙂👍🏻 I was wondering what I could order for #6. 😂 I bought the same half-A5 sheets and use them too. Lately for me, the grateful box was some ‘all clear’ tests for my brother and I for a few things. Nowt serious going off but needed tests, etc and who doesn’t like an ‘all clear’ for the grateful and positive boxes of those sheets. Thanks a lot Mike for the video🙂👍🏻
@writerlywitterings2 жыл бұрын
Cheers, Richard. I'm saving that box for my brother's final tests in a few weeks! I hope he'll be well. I really do like these pages, though. I take the mickey, but they are a good way of focusing on what is good and helpful, rather than the miserable things that invariably happen.

@writerlywitterings Are you still filling in those half A5 journaling/positive-thinking sheets after 4 months? Would be really interested to hear how you got on. Thanks. Brilliant channel btw, and I really appreciate you posting all those older videos which I assume were Patreon videos. So interesting. So much so that I’ve now bought a few of your novels that are queued up on my reading list. I initially stumbled upon your channel because I have a Lamy 2000, love it, and was wondering if it was only just me that raved about it ;-) I’m enjoying the journey ;-)

Many thanks, Surfey (especially for buying the books!). I am still using them, although intermittently rather than every day. They aren't a thing I'd necessarily use full time, but can be useful when something special has happened - good or bad. Sadly, for me as a novelist, most days are just "Got up, sat at desk, typed, went to bed" and not particularly full of insights!

Thanks again for taking the time to do these videos. I can imagine how busy you are with your writing. I have been considering buying a William Hannah notebook. I like the fixed rings, but I am did not find any kind of paper punch on their website in order to insert other pages into the notebook. Do you know if the WH rings align with the any of the paper punches from other companies (i.e. Levenger, ARC, Atoma) ?
@writerlywitterings2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Dr D, Yes, I personally have an Atoma punch which matches the William Hannah perfectly, and I believe that any punch suitable for Atoma with their measurements would do equally well. However, although I quite understand the benefits of being able to use other papers in the WH (printed diaries, printed notes for meetings) I have to admit, for my purposes, I always go back to the WH papers. The 115 gsm paper is just wonderful to write on!
@dr.d7232 жыл бұрын
@@writerlywitterings Thank you for your kind reply. I plan on using WH paper for my writing, but there are times when I need to use a preprinted reference sheet for my work. Having the ability to "punch" such a sheet and place it into a notebook would be very helpful.

I'm going to have to limit my viewing of your channel soon, Michael. You've already got me addicted to atoma, now I can see me treating myself to a william hannah as well! Just out of interest are the WH disc spacings the same as the atoma puncher spacings?
@writerlywitterings2 жыл бұрын
I'm very sorry to have to tell you that the William Hannah spacings are identical to the Atoms ones. Any Atoma paper will migrate very happily to William Hannah. Sorry. You have no excuse not to dip your toe into the William Hannah water!

Ah, I'm sorry about that - but I'm thinking of some ways of bringing that element back into life again. It's just that videos take a chunk out of my week, and trying to make time for writing is key right now - but that does mean I am developing new aspects of writing for future videos.
