Is it possible to connect an ethernet cable from the repeater to an access point or router to create a wireless network in the remote area where the antenna is?

I’m wanting to use this unit to get starlink from my barn(where the best spot for the starlink dish is) to my house, about 100 yards away. The barn is a metal building and the starlink is inside, 100% clear line of sight except I need to get thru 1 sheet of corrugated metal right now, but probably change that to a glass window in the future, will this work? And how big of an area of new wifi signal does this provide, will it cover a 1200 square foot house with a fairly open floor plan? I could set everything up in reverse, but I don’t have as good of a spot for the starlink dish over here… I’d like to know your thoughts because I have a lot of setup and ladder climbing to accomplish this task.

Thank you for your question! This system would not be a good choice for your situation due to the metal and it is designed to receive a distant WiFi and then repeat a new WiFi in the second location. We do however offer a Extended Long Range WiFi Bridge System that can be used at the barn with an outdoor antenna attached to broadcast out a stronger WiFi signal and the other part of the system at the house to receive the WiFi signal into a router. @@ccraneccrane I actually installed the unit today, since my starlink is already running here at the house I put your product on the barn to test, and it works flawlessly. It’s just a temporary install right now, but now that I know it works I’ll give it a more permanent install. I don’t understand all this tech stuff, I’m not sure what it means to be a “repeater”… but anyways, my needs have been met with this product, so thankyou, even if I got the wrong one…does the extended Wi-Fi bridge system allow me to go even further out so I can put some Bluetooth cameras around my 20 acres? The front gate is kinda far from everything with no line of site, but I’d like a camera out there. I’ll have to give you a call next week, probably easier to explain this stuff to me over the phone… Oh, and that black sticky rubbery stuff gets wrapped around all the exterior connections, once I install it for real, right? The clear grease in threads first then wrap with the black rubber… and is that first thicker part of the antenna cord where the dish cord threads on is just supposed to dangle there behind the dish?, should I zip tie it to the pole?

@@ccraneccrane as of right now, I’m not trying to penetrate the metal building… the dish is outside of the metal barn and pointed at the house, the cord runs thru a hole and into the barn, and the other end with the little router deal is sitting on a shelf inside. Your answer above makes it clear that I need to put some windows back in the old spots where they were removed previously…that will definitely take the metal penetration out of the equation…then I can put the starlink router in that window with your dish at the house, because I really want the starlink dish on the roof of the barn so it has the unobstructed north sky view it needs…

Im getting extremely low signals from wifi. I am about 200ft from house. What are some common troubleshoots?
@ccraneccrane2 жыл бұрын
Most common troubleshooting for low signals would be position of the antenna. Any obstructions between our antenna and to the main WiFi location can reduce the signal. How far will it reach? 100 yards? 500 yards?
@ccraneccrane2 жыл бұрын
Our directional antenna receives a distant available WiFi signal about 1/2 mile away (max. range is about 3 miles with clear line of sight)* and connected with our CC Vector repeats a new WiFi signal in a dead zone, for use by all devices in your barn, shop, office, or other building. Range depends on obstructions and the signal strength of the network you're connecting to. *Line of sight, without walls, trees or other obstructions. Also depends on the strength of the WiFi router.
