Very good tips but nothing about natural aiming points or breathing techniques, these were hard core things to learn right from the word go. I spent 3 year's in the Royal Anglian shooting team and was a marksman, I also passed my Sniper course. Natural aim and breathing needs to be addressed it's second to gun safety only !

Good vedeo! My tip! Shoot out of the shoulder at the gun range on 100 meters ! Rap the sling around your left arm! If right handed shooter. Make it muscle memory! Saves you from carrying extra crap in the bush ! My go to gun is a 375 H&H and shot kudu and blue wildebeest up to 320 meters! PRATICE how you hunt and get off the bench

Good and instructive video this one. More like this definetly needed. My guess is that the instructor is ex military of some sort or law enforcement. That's exactly the same fundamentals by every detail of rifle shooting I received when doing my own service :D

Very interesting video. Now, what kind of rifle it that u have. I've seen one but couldn't find the make. Have looked on the NET under SLIDING BOLT RIFLES but no luck. Nice rifle.

raider6511 Check out Blaser Rifles for the straight pull bolts. I believe he is using the R8 model in this video. They aren't cheap though

That looked like a Blaser. Try looking up straight-pull rifle.

great video and I learnt alot. I mostly hunt foxes at night under lamp out to 100M. I zoom in to 7-8 power as I'm going for head shots with a 22 magnum with just the eyes illuminated. I will only get one shot, if I miss, the fox is gone. great to watch this for stick use etc. Would love to spend a few hours with this instructor. he seems easy to learn from.

At 19:55 and 23.58 - what ist the device attached to the side of his Blaser R8 Stock?! Right above the Trigger unit? It says "contour" written upside down... ==> EDIT: It´s a mounting system for lights, camera and stuff by the Brand "Contour"

Blaser R8 or R93 with a Thumbhole stock.

I'd rather just force myself to shoot good with any caliber. This is not golf. It's pointing a barrel at a target. The less the firearm moves the better you will shoot. I never use a rear rest. I only use a front rest for sighting in, testing loads and verifying drops. Is it even considered shooting with a front and rear rest?
