Om het NIEUWE JAAR te vieren post ik deze Improvisetta.
Kom in de Nieuwjaars-stemming en luister naar deze vrolijke improvisetta [is een beknopte improvisatie]. GELUKKIG NIEUW JAAR 2023
Willem van Twillert houdt van vele stijlen in de muziek en in de schilderkunst.
Dat is ook in zijn improvisatie te merken.
Hier improviseert hij in een stijl die verwant is met minimal music elementen hoewel hij zijn eigen stijl niet verlochent.
Dank aan het bestuur van Collegium Musicum Eindhoven en artistiek leider, Ruud Huijbregts voor de gelegenheid om deze opname te mogen maken rond het concert dat ik op de uitnodiging van het bestuur mocht geven op het Verschueren orgel in de St. Cathrien op 22 oktober 2022.
Ik dank ook Gerard Habraken en ir. Henk Kooiker voor de goede zorgen.

To celebrate the NEW YEAR I'm posting this Improvisetta.
Get in the New Year's mood and listen to this cheerful IMPROVISETTA [is a short improvisation]. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2023.
The Dutch organist Willem van Twillert likes many styles of music and that is also noticeable in his improvisations. Here he improvises in a style related to minimal music elements, although he does not deny his own style.
Thanks to the board of 'Collegium Musicum Eindhoven and artistic director, Ruud Huijbregts for the opportunity to make this recording around the concert that I was invited to give at the Verschueren organ in St. Catharina church on October 22, 2022.
I would also like to thank colleagues Gerard Habraken and Henk Kooiker for taking good care of the organization.

Some sections there sound like some parts of Philip Glass' Koyaanisqatsi (1982).

If some section resembles Philip Glass' Koyaanisqatsi, then I think that's completely coincidental. But I'm happy with it. I am not familiar with this work by P. Glass or any other work. I'll go have a listen. Thanks for your comment.
