Gateway to Arabic Book Three, Lesson 12: Prepositions

So far, we have encountered the nominative and accusative cases in Arabic. There is a third case that students must also learn, namely the genitive case. It is used to show possession (ownership), as well as after prepositions. We came across it briefly in Book Two, p. 25 where we learnt that singular nouns
coming after a preposition usually take a kasra. We will now look at the genitive case in more detail.

Assalamu alaykum Dr. Imran Alawiye, great thanks and support from Germany. As far as I have seen, literally the best way to learn arabic, great didactic skills mashaallah. Its not a matter of course to provide such good content and even more by being a nice and funny teacher. So definitely keep going on. I think a great addition for your books etc. would be an app, to look up things like grammar, vocabulary or basic phrases, but also for training writing, reading and again vocabulary. That would be great and there is no problem to pay money for a good quality app, since you give arabic lessons for free. It should be the least everyone watching your videos should do. Hi Dr. Imran, For the second sentence about the police man and his horse, why is his horse this: ِِِالْحِصَان and not: ُحِصَانُه ?

Ej Hannah salaam, because the one which has the pronoun attached to it will be translated as ‘his horse’. However, the sentence in the book states: THE POLICEMAN GOT DOWN FROM THE HORSE. So therefore, it’s الحصان the horse

Sir, I bought your entire collection of book, it is possible that in book 3 page 26 ,is reported HE STOOD twice but one is translated as قام e the second وقف....is that a stamp mistaken?
