*The Patriots don’t have a starting left tackle OR a #1 Wide Receiver…let alone a clear #2. Even if he is better than Brissett, LET THE KID LEARN. Brissett has the experience, conditioning and the leadership to handle the pressure with the lack of talent on offense. Give Drake at least half a season to develop his game, learn the offensive/defensive schemes and give him a chance to get comfortable. Keep him on the sidelines with a clipboard and headphones and absorb as much as he can.*

What if he's better from the get? I totally get what your saying about sitting him, and agree. Where I get upset is - why did they draft him in the first place if he wasn't ready? They could of gotten 3 number 1 draft picks? Guys that could and would of contributed year one. A real left tackle! A star X receiver yeah I would of traded back. I honestly think Robert Kraft and Jonathan made the pick not Eliot/Mayo

@@littlenugs9942 Maye gave me horror flashbacks of Paxton Lynch, who alot of coaches and GMs loved. Good arm, big body, shit footwork, accuracy issues, questionable decesion making, mid-record mid-college team. Now I think there's little way he could be worse than Lynch, who was absolute a headcase that was unable to learn anything to be successful at the next level. But I think it's enough yellow flags to push him down the list for some teams. His success depends entirely how coachable he is and how fast he can adapt.

I say if he plays good against our defense in training camp, let him start; otherwise, probably until bye week imo. We have a top 3 defense so he's not going to see much better defenses.

@@swup9851 We definitely need Maye to work on his footwork, and his comfortability against NFL defenses. Also want to make sure that our offense line is at least competent, and that our receivers can actually produce

It wont repeat if he gets the game experience instead of sitting on the sidelines. And this time the qb doesn’t have to deal with Belichick or having 3 different OC’s in 3 different years. The team also drafted great recievers on top of all that, nothing close to a mac jones repeat.

At Chapel Hill, he completely collapsed vs any competent defensive squad (Clemson, South Carolina, NC State, Norte Dame, Oregon). He was dreadful against Georgia Tech twice who aren't good. He looks good in pads but his play vs remotely decent defenses should be a concern. has terrible footwork and completed only 63% of his passes against unranked ACC opponents. He could be good, but if doesn’t get much better quickly he’s got huge huge huge bust potential.
