great vid, just the LMDh cars are not based off of the LMP2 Chassis for 2028 anymore. they changed that when they announced a clean slate for the LMP2 2028 Gen

To clarify further: the chassis are the same, but those chassis will no longer be the basis for the next generation of LMP2

Btw just yesterday it was announced that Ford is interested in GTP now. This is going to be some good variety and competition come around 2027 which is when I think Ford will enter. Hopefully Lambo gets their stuff together and can remain for the long haul. If they can we will eventually have Cadillac, Porsche, BMW, Acura, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Genesis, and Ford. Two other rumored manufacturers to join is Alpine which will come with a deal to start selling cars in the US and McLaren has been thinking about it since early last year but nothing yet.

Correction: The Cadillac V-Series.R won the 2023 GTP championship. 2022 was won by Acura in the final year of DPi

I know this is an overview video so I kinda understand it. But I think a mention of the power limits of this class would have been helpful. Having 500 kw (671 HP) limit is one of the reasons GTP/Hypercar has been successful in entries.

They travel to Detroit to host the Detroit Grand Prix which is on the edge of the border, it's probably the closest you can get to GTP's in Canada
