Just finished the Daytona Rolex 24, over that 24 hours I have gotten into imsa a lot and will continue to watch the rest of this season and what's to come in the future. Thank you for the full race upload it makes it very accessible

I'm gonna give you an idea that you may or may not be aware of. a 4 day admission with garage pass for the 2023 daytona 24 is literally 115 bucks. Just something to consider, I certainly plan to take advantage of that

Great coverage as always. One thing I will say is that it seems like the commentators are looking at lap charts and timing screens more than actually watching the action on track and therefore miss some of the overtakes and report on them well after the fact.

Right said, but keep in mind that commentators are busy with interviews at several stages of the race, attending social media for a few minutes and so on. Might seem annoying at some point, yes, but at least for me it's not a problem. Instead, it's the deepest race understanding you'll ever find elsewhere.

What an incredible race it was! Watched a bit over 8 hours of it and was entertained the whole way. So much action in all the classes. The track was really tough on the cars. Cannot wait for Long Beach! The MPC race was great as well. So much better than WEC.

@@magnummax78 Old comment, i know. But the endurance racing scene is going through a quite a major change. GTE (GTLM) class is dead. IMSA already ditched them completely, while WEC still runs them through 2023. GT3 (GTD) is the future for both. So during the transition, if you only have two cars, you have to commit both of them to either GTE(WEC) or GT3(GTD IMSA), or run one of each in both series. Pretty much same thing going on with the top class of the prototypes as well. WEC already runs the new LMH hypercars, while IMSA is going to debut their Hypercar BOP compatible LMDh cars next year.

Why on earth are the GTD Pro cars blocking the prototypes? I can kinda understand not wanting to let LMP3 cars ahead but some drivers were blocking against DPi cars. Seems rude and idiotic. They are being lapped, after all.

It's the job of the prototypes (much faster cars) to find a safe way by. The GTs are on their own race and should not compromise themselves to let the prototypes by

Some GT drivers here were seemingly trying to prevent those much faster prototypes from lapping them. What awful direction, imsa can do better. Cerra and Bortoloti are tooth and nail bumper to bumper for the first 15 and all we see is pit lane drama. Its a race not a soap opera, show the cars battling on track racing.
