My dad a Cavalier LXi on the E-plate, which had a similar engine to the SRi. I was a learner driver at the time, allowed to drive it occasionally, and remember it seeming incredibly fast and responsive compared to anything else I'd driven.

Used to knock doors all the time,still do sometimes....I got Mk2 RS2000s,Mk1 Escorts,Mk3 cabs,Capris,all sorts for £50 to £100 sometimes free,that was 25 + yrs back tho....my neighbour opposite has an 85 RS turbo project lying covered up on his drive,Brum is full of classic cars sitting on drives or garaged.....

Hi stu the black s1 RS Turbo is interesting as far as im aware they only ever did one from factory for princess Diana but i believe that is tucked up in some sort of car collection/museum be nice if you could go back and get the info on it cheers kev

Used to be the Japanese rockets around Sheffield Rotherham Doncaster. Now almost exclusively Audis Beemers Mercs for the lads. Me it's old Vauxhalls so I love the Cavaliers you found.

There a guy up the road from me that owns a mk1 2 mk2 and a mk3 cavalier he also has a opel Manta and vectra and a nova one of the mk2s and the nova are in his garage the mk3 is an ex max power and the outher mk2 is his daily at the moment

Try just looking on the outskirts of Birmingham, maypole or wythall/Hollywood, or just 20 minutes up the M42, there's measham with a few oldies around the village and areas around it .

That 635 csi is one of the very last ones on a G plate. I think the escort is an XR3 or XR3I it’s definitely not a RS Turbo. I don’t even think it’s an RS 1600I. Still cool though and looks quite clean.

@ Well as far as I know the late great lady Princess Diana was given the only mk1 black RS Turbo from the factory ( there is a rumour of one other ) but it is a rumour and would be priceless. Diana’s was recently sold at auction for over a quarter of a million pounds. Which would make this one more valuable than the driveway of the house it’s sat on. 🤔🤦🤫. Silly billy.

Stu this series 1 rs turbo is not a genuine black one its original factory colour is white even shows this on the car checker sill looks a nice car thou also there is only about 12 tops B reg rs of a series 1 rs turbos left

That can't be a original Black RS turbo as there was only 3 ever made. Prince Diana had 2 believe it or not 1 was her own car and the other was meant to be a decoy, And the third went to Prince of Kent That would be worth god knows
