Hello & welcome to a new episode, In this week's episode we go and film what can only be described as a class find, a one owner from new Ford Sierra XR4X4, The owner was actually with us too, Which is a bonus as most we find, the owner is either long gone or just not around to talk to, This was an epic find and a really cool story to go with it, I do hope you enjoy this one as it was a pleasure to meet the past owners and to meet in over a year the new owner,

Awesome video Stu, when I was a kid my father had one of these XR4x4 in white. Adored this car. That interior brought back memories. He’d wash it religiously once a week on a Sunday, I’d be given the tooth brush to detail the alloys! He used to flash people on the motorway to get out the way, as it looked like police car in the rear view mirror. 😂

One of the best fords made totally underrated car was the Armed robbers go too car didnt stand out like the cosworth but the v6 4x4 2.9 was proper quick.

Never use tarps to cover a car ,there’s lined ones you can use with the usual fluid cover .

Those covers are terrible for keeping cars dry, they tend to sweat and then just hold the moisture to the car😔. Nice one stu💪🏼

Good to see a sierra 4x4 I used to love the sound of any V6 ford looks like won't take much to get back on the road and sounds like it will as the new owner been after after it for years but will want welding all old fords do where it's sat there is many types of cars sat there any other good ones mate

We have a mk1 2.8 1986 sierra xr4x4, in white, complete with abs and aircon, its been owned by us for 30 years....was in our garage for 20 years, didnt even turn a wheel, needed some minor recommissioning, valves adjusted and a good service....its sone 3k miles in 18 mths and performed faultlessly. Suspension desperately needs changing and is showing its 37 years old, but the odd job's it needs doing is something to keep us occupied over the next year

Another car I went to buy back in 1996 - young fella selling it said he'd drive which was fair enough, he drove around his estate never going over 15mph, which obviously raised me and my M8's attention, my pal was an MOT inspector but we never said anything about that, when he drove back to his house my pal lay under the front end for about 25 seconds then came back up and just started walking away, lets just say it needed a lot of welding. Do hate a wasted long journey. Thanks again Stu.

Just imagine the power of the 4x4 back in the day 2.9 petrol. Cant remember the BHP but compared to nowadays a standard 1.8 focus i bet pushes out nearly the same. Crazy really. Great video ❤ I just Google it 150 BHP

I owned a black K plate at the age of 19. It was my second car going from a 1.1 Fiesta to a 2.9 XR4x4 man it felt good and felt so fast.

@@Jamie-Evo I had the H plate estate 4x4 I loved that car. My mate had the XR4i used to love the sound of the engine. But looking at the specs now they only pushed out 150 BHP I was honestly surprised. A RS Turbo is only 130 BHP a 1.0 polo has the same power now. Mad hey

That’s a 2.9 efi v6 . The early xr4x4 had the 2.8. The 2.9 was the better engine. I had a sierra ghia with the 2.9 it was a flying machine. 175 bhp. I. Sold it to a farmer , he uses it to pull a trailer loaded with hay bails in his farm . It was a very powerful car.
