Hi! Creator of the Overseer here! Thank you so much for bringing my creation to life! It turned out awesome and so scary! EDIT: Wow! 3.5K likes and 57 replies! I'm glad so many people seem to like the Overseer. Since a lot of people are asking, I'll explain the lore and creation process I had for the creature. The Overseer is a leviathan born from an underwater skulk biome. Like its distant relative, the Warden, I imagined it hunting by sound (though I'm unsure if that actually made it into it's in-game counterpart from the video alone), snaking around the underwater skulk pillars. I imagined it being beast you had to avoid rather than fight. I designed it with inspiration from various Subnautica creatures (namely the Crabsnake and the Gargantuan Leviathan, as R4t was able to determine) and the Warden itself. In fact, I attempted to make the shape of the fins mirror the antlers of the Warden. As for the name, I searched up synonyms for Warden, which led to the creature getting it's final name: The Overseer. Anyways, I'm glad so many like the Overseer. I myself am very happy with how it turned out in the game.

FACT!: The Overseer looks INSANELY like a real life fish, called the Mariana Hadal Snailfish (please search up the fish on google for pictures). As the name suggests, it lives in the ''hadal zone'', about 26.000 feet below the surface, in the Mariana Trench. It's crazy how big of a coincidence this is, when the creator of The Overseer was inspired by Subnautica and The Warden from Minecraft. Thanks for reading!

i love that it takes mojang forever to make a mob, and when they do add said mob, its fails to be useful or used for progression. yet this guy really made, animated, gave cutscenes, and ran a fairly good AI to mobs the community sent to him. theres more mobs here in this mod (modpack?) than mojjang has added in the last 3 years. The god of fear was a bit underdesigned as a bossfight. It would have been much more interesting to give him the Darkness ability like a Warden.

Loved how you connected many different users mobs to the same theme. Someone should make some item mods based off the defeat of God of Fear. Like, "You Can't Hyde", a skin cape of his weird arms, that lets you summon a small group of the little shadows, to aid in battle. It could also maybe give you a shadow teleport ability. "Fears Grip", a set of gloves that lets you dual weild, and summon a shadow bow, that does Fear damage, and has a chance to make enemy mobs and Players, flee. Or, "Face of Fear". Wearing his face as a mask, allows you to infect different mobs with Fear mutations, for different uses. Like for example, a golem becomes a Brute type to fight with you. Bees become something similar to the winglike insect mob to fly on. Or chicken mob mount. Lamas, camels, and donkeys, become some packmule Fear beast to travel with you, storing mass items. Pigs and cows maybe act as a fatty defensive mob to shield you. Glow squids into mini Overseer type mobs as a dive mount... Could even infect villagers, to make them dark, hollow-eyed, soulless slaves, that you can command to do certain routines, like building, or activating blocks. ...etc etc. (If someone ever actually sees, and does something like this, please tag me.)
