I miss this man. He was the voice of both my early and mid period of my life.

So true. Best morning radio show ever. Imus, Charles, Rob, Larry, Bernard, and Lou were brilliant. Can’t believe that this era is over. Been listening to Imus since the eighties.

No kidding. Imus was outstanding in the 90’s & early 00’s. The Rutgers incident changed everything. It was bullshit, a joke and he was crucified for it.

@@jeffreylebowski3280 I listened to Imus because my dad listened to him since the original morning show. The cast, and content was brilliant. Like you said, in the 90’s and early 00’s, everyone wanted to be on that show. Whether to promote their book, or for other reasons. The Rutgers incident was complete bullshit. It really was the beginning of all this cancel culture nonsense. The guy made fun of everyone; especially himself! People who don’t understand satire just don’t get it in general. But, then again, it doesn’t surprise me.

@@ChrisDutch man, he crossed that line every show, just like south park, or any other satire, making fun of the utter hypocricies in this world, if you think that the specific few seconds of radio, and phrase that don was vilified for were his personal feelings and therefore a viscious attack on defenseless female athletes, you are out of your mind and if u ever actually did listen to the program u didnt get it at all. Its a frickin joke, and weakling ambulance chaser losers that pushed this into public vilification are the problem. Not Don Imus. There went the last DJ thoo, all that happened was they cut off his vouce and trampeled his reputation, and he was, among other things, a popular, very popular voice, that didnt bow or suck up to eirher left or right. Otherwise, the isolared incident was a joke, plain and simple, an act, a satirical moment, no different from when he would say something like, that republican senator has to get back to his kkk meeting. U missed the point, in fact u dont even understand the hot air that comes out of your own mouth. So it goes. U folks won, congrats, status quo was twice as reinforced the day they through out I, but u folks out number the rational few of us, and always will, droan on.

Many a pleasant morning driving to school and work listening to I-Man and the gang. I’m willing to admit it.... in the morning I’ll just put on one of these old shows as background and listen to it rather than the crap on air these days.

Thanks so much for posting these videos. Imus was the soundtrack to my morning all thru the 90s. Brings back a lot of memories.

THIS is what got me to start listening to Imus in the first place! The great Charles McCord simply read the news. That was it!

The commercials in 1998…completely unrecognizable to the hideous, often offensive commercials of 2024.
