+Johnathan Ohnn The Spot - he's also right about how Bush was a jackass and Cheney a war criminal. And for the record, you can't justify calling liberals out for blaming Bush when conservatives have been double-pussies (what? I know...whatever...it's youtube) in blaming Obama for everything from racism to terrorism. I remember, around 2007, I decided, as a liberal, that it was ridiculous and overemotional to just blame the Bush administration - Imus is right about one thing: we're ALL to blame.

@shaqdaddy11 Yes you did, well he used the stimulus money to do that, Banks are thriving, Auto Industry is doing lot better GM is again #1, Wall Street is up about 3,000 points, Corporations are sitting on record cash reserves of Trillions of dollars, loss of jobs has slowed a lot, 655,000 a month when Obama took over, last month 95,000 all from reduced Government jobs ( less Gov.), health care for 40 million more people and that will reduce the Nat. Debt by 800 Billion, so yes.
@pamReagan16 жыл бұрын
Pajamkings, I don't know how, but you've managed to misread everything I posted. *I* never stated that our government would attack us, y760nitro implied that they would and that it's a good reason to stockpile weapons, as a lot of other NRA fanatics believe also. And....I am a American citizen - my family has been here since the 1600s.
@murrayduan14 жыл бұрын
@shaqdaddy11 I hoped you had done some reading on these subjects but the increase in coverage is for approximately 40 million more. The CBO says the H.C. reform Bill will reduce the Nat. Deficit by 800 Billion over the next 10 years. That's nice you don't like the numbers but don't blame me I am just the messenger. If you don't like what economists agree on then take it up with them. Now tell us what republicans would have done differently to solve the same issues we were talking about?
@murrayduan14 жыл бұрын
@shaqdaddy11 Surely you understand wall street goes up or sown based on the economy and where its heading? As of July 2010: The Federal Reserve reported Thursday that nonfinancial companies had socked away $1.84 trillion in cash and other liquid assets as of the end of March, up 26% from a year earlier and the largest-ever increase in records going back to 1952. So you think they are not better?

Most people I've known for many years & in many cities share both conservative & liberal values, & everyone has a different balance of both to various degrees. I've often observed that hose who subscribe more to "liberal" values are more progressive, and those who subscribe to progressive values, which literally means "progress" & "change" subscribe more to "liberal" values than conservative ones. The more conservative among my friends are often anti-science & dream of a past that never was.

what I meant is there is no rivalry...two reasons. One: Imus and Stern play to two different audiences: Imus plays to older people and Stern was consistently number 1 in the ratings 25-54. And two: when they did compete for the same audience, Stern buried the I-man. I like them both though, if Imus was as untalented as Howard says he wouldn't have a job right now.

@shaqdaddy11 That's nice now tell us what your party wold have done differently then Obama? What would they have done to add jobs, deal with Banks, Unemployment, wall street, AIG, Auto Industry, Health care, you know all the economic stuff? Now a smart man would deal with the questions posed to him and answer the ones he claims he will ? You have don't neither , but you have showed us how you would have added a few million more unemployed if in charge. Now tell us the fix?

the higher minimum wage, the more available money people have to spend, the more goods get sold, the more demand goes up, the more jobs get created, the value of the dollar climbs and inflation slows. Economics is fun! As a caveat, most of the newly available spending money gets spent at local businesses, the ones the hardest hit by the wage hike.

@LycoValleyRRFan A majority of the tax cuts went to the top 2% on the richest in America. The top 2% received 84% of the benefits of the cuts. That about 6600 families who received over 1 trillion in tax breaks. The latest extension gives the same people 900 billion more in 2 years time.

shrfdad, I don't know what universe your in, but I judge INDIVIDUALS on their own merits, not tens of millions of as a sweeping generalization & stereotype. I never met a single person, who subscribes to liberal ideas, (which includes more freedom, whether you admit it or not) who stated that they are "NEVER CONCERNED WITH VIOLENCE", any slightly reasonable person is "concerned with violence in our city streets" because it goes without saying that it can impact our "liberal" families & friends.

@shaqdaddy11 LMAO their is no doubt in my mind the economy is much better today then when Obama took over, and supported by economists in general. If Gm back to number one and auto sale way up from last year is not a good sign then nothing is. Corps holding onto 1.8 Trillion on cash, Banks recording profits and some paying back the stimulus money is a bad sign to you, then so be it. I will live with the numbers. There are no large cities in this country with conservative leaders. None. Liberal means "generous" as in over-taxing and over-spending other peoples money. I don't want to have the liberal vs. conservative debate here. I find it difficult to agree with either. I was simply stating that I am surprised that liberals are never concerned with violence on our city streets, but are outraged over war casualites. This disconnect confuses me.
@murrayduan14 жыл бұрын
@shaqdaddy11 The problems with the auto companies isn't the management LOL, it the Union contracts they signed 50 years ago. The yearly pension and benefit debt of 80 Billion for GM vs 250 Million for Toyota is why GM was losing money. The bankruptcy dealt with those contracts and they have been changed. So for long term they have made it better. Your problem is you don't understand what the problem really was it had nothing to do with today's management it was management from the past.
