The timer is purposely set to match someone else’s and in ways they are persuaded towards each other without knowing. the only issue is you could for sure input a bunch of data of your interests and get matched with someone, it doesnt mean you are their soulmate, it just means your a possible match with some of your attributes, even if you could make something that is like this concept in the movie it just cant ever really work, we live in a world of chaos and just because you take a bunch of dots that fit together, doesnt mean they work well together, there are so many things that will easily get left out of the analystical data like peoples personality that they dont want to admit or dont even see in themselves. also just because 2 people are interested in the same thing doesnt mean they would be good together. and my issue with this movie is it doesnt even explain anything about their personality or any type of data, they just apply something to their wrist and it instantly displays and timing, like how is it suppose to have any data off of you to work with

*My theory on the watch is:* When your timer gets implanted the timer is blank until someone else implants it right? Well what if the timer has some sort of camera footage that looks at things the host is interested in therefore looking around for victims of people that shares the same thing like listening conversations or visiting a party or by the looks and the timer shares what it learnt and once someone implants it and the timer gets filled out it means it recognizes the face of someone it went by eariler and calculates how often the person goes around the area and looks for a solution of when they meet like how the protogonist found her soulmate at her birthday because the timer expects Dan to go to the party and it depends how far away they are from the situation so it takes 15 years for someone to find they're soulmate because of a certain distance and figures out when the person goes there going ahead in schedule so when the timer was first released not many people got they're soulmates because its slowly learning attempting to find soulmates that may or may not have they're timers implanted so maybe this whole product was suppose to make money and fame out of it like some sort of scam or solution which is hard to tell because the timer did very well finding soulmates so you cant really put your finger on it and the reason that the timer finds out where the person could be in area is when the timer counts down to zero it doesnt instantly find the soulmate so the host would simply look around the area and when the timer recognizes a face they would alarm the host

Okay, I don’t know if this channel changes the ending for the sake of letting people still enjoy the movie or if there is another cut of this movie I haven’t seen, but this is one of my favorite movies and that is not the ending it had when I watched it. The ending I remember is that Una and Mikey have a big argument in which Mikey says a line along the lines of, “I love you. And you’re going to take the word of a little chip over what I can tell you right here and now?” And Una says yes and leaves. The last scene Una is running and runs into Steph’s boyfriend but instead of running away the camera zooms out while they’re still talking, implying heavily that they end up together. To be honest, Mystery Recapped version makes me wayyyyyy happier because I absolutely hated the ending I just described, because Una obviously makes the wrong decision in it. But in this version she says f*ck it and goes with Mikey, which is really a much better ending. Thank you to this channel for showing me this ending. It’s great.

The biggest worry I have for them, would be that there is this possible event of Partner A leaving Partner B, for a "better" Partner C. This happens in real life scenarios. So I would anticipate that once the Drummer finally meets his "True Love", he might leave her for his "True Love". But I also find it interesting, if I take the movie from the angle that they challenge the idea of "committing to the person you swear your love and loyalty to" versus "being with the perfect ideal partner". It would have been interesting if this movie is a long episode drama instead of a short movie. And helps to promote to people to appreciate and love the perfect they have, instead of being unsatisfied with the imperfections of their partner.

In the end It's a matter of choosing who you spend time with and love. And of course, if that person chooses you back :P people change in the course of a relationship that either makes them more aligned to each other, or far apart. It takes two to tango after all.
